Program and Commercial Manager
Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Program and Commerical Manager to join the GKN Engines Military Programs, GE & R-R Military Programs/Customer team. As a program and Commerical Manager you will be accountable for the execution of the contract(s) in line with al business cases and contractual requirements. You will be the key interface with the customer for all aspects of the programs and ensure smooth execution of all program changes in collaboration with the relevant stakeholders. 

Job Responsibilities

Commerical Excellence

Responsible to ensure deep contractual understanding within the program, including contractual terms and conditions and linkage to GKN obligations and rights Accountable for managing commercials bids, proposals, and contract Gate reviews such that risks are understood, minimized and managed appropriately Accountable for program financial accounting within contract(s) and overseeing revenue recognition for the business Supports the process for customer claims and Material Litigation reporting and provides guidance on claim settlement and claim negotiation strategy Acts as a leader and internal escalation point for negotiation and resolution of commercial claims to/from customers Actively manage risks and opportunities to mitigate risk exposure and realize opportunities Responsible that all contracts and contract amendments are uploaded to the Aerospace central contracts database Responsible to ensure key commercial financial drivers are tracked, forecasted, and communicated Accountable for collecting data and provide payment milestone overview and adherence to cash-in Work the Finance Director to ensure customer debt is properly managed and customer overdue debt minimized, and maximize cash opportunities Lead team to managed day-to-day contract administration, order book, POs, and change management

Program Management

Responsible for managing respective Program/Contract(s) through lifecycle gates 1-9 Acts as the voice of the customer with all internal stakeholders Deployment and conversion of targets to internal stakeholders to ensure appropriate tactical plans are initiated to reach wanted position in respective Program/Contract Responsible for program budget (for all P&L and BS nodes that fall under programs accountability) incl. optimizing cash flow and profitability Responsible for the customer relationship and first point of escalation for customer if issues arise. (Will work together with CoE in these matters) Engage in resolving delinquency leading to consequence on scorecard Intel and bring information to the IPT from CoE (incl. Procurement) on activities and progress vs plan. Heatmap etc. (Including Product area strategy). Drive improvements of the program in collaboration with stakeholders Support the CoE team in any customer audit or assessment

Market Intelligence/Customer Strategy

Supports the customer area in defining the vision, strategy and tactical plans Responsible for customer demand management and deep understanding of program-relevant market drivers and forecasts

Adheres to all program management and commercial standards and policies in accordance with the GKN Aerospace program management framework, and contributes to process development and improvement Lead and manage a team of 3-5 commercial officers and commercial support officers. Qualifications/Experience/Skills/Profile

Broad knowledge and experience of the Aerospace industry and market Product knowledge within the Aerospace and Defense Industry, mainly US Military Programs At least five years of experience managing, negotiating, pricing DoD contracts At least 5 years of experience of leading TINA contracts audits and negotiations At least 5 years of relevant business experience 2+ years experiencing leading teams Strong knowledge of governmental contracts management/procurement process and procedures including FAR/DFAR regulations Be proficient in the fundamentals of Program Management, Finance and Lean principles Demonstrated interpersonal, negotiation, organizational and communication skills Broad network across the Aerospace Industry Ability to operate and influence at appropriate levels both internally and externally Good interpersonal and communication skills Tenacity Ability to anticipate future trends based on market intelligence  Excellent data processing and analytical skills
