We offer a wide array of services and education activities, including: + Graduate Certificate in Global Medicine + Mentorship and career planning + Elective global health courses + Elective clinical clerkships and research courses at our international partner sites for University of Utah medical students + Elective clinical clerkships at the University of Utah for medical students from our international partner sites + International travel assistance & planning for medical students The Program Assistant plans and coordinates project logistics such as meetings, conference rooms, conference calls, and events in relation to Global Health Education and provides administrative support to the Associate Director and the Assistant Dean of Global Health Education. This candidate must be a self-starter and demonstrate the ability to work independently and take initiative to achieve outcomes is essential. The candidate must be reliable, detail-oriented, and have excellent organizational and strong customer service skills. This position reports to the Associate Director of Global Health Education. Our generous**University staff benefits package**includes but is not limited to: health care and dental plan options, tuition reduction, UTA pass (Bus, TRAX , & FrontRunner), paid holidays, paid leave time, employer and employee paid retirement, and more! **Responsibilities** + Assists in updating forms and applications to reflect current guidelines. + Develops and publishes canvas pages, syllabus, and final grades for Global Health Pathway courses. + Manage department calendar and schedule meetings. + Coordinates international travel and reconcile Travel Card purchases. + Manage purchasing for department and process reimbursements. + Plan and organize department events, meal planning, and purchases. + Website and social media design and maintenance. + Assist Administrative Program Coordinator with onboarding international visitors as needed. + Other duties as assigned. Problem Solving Incumbents in this position are expected to be familiar with the department’s policies and procedures and have working knowledge of University and department organizations and procedures in order to answer and assist staff and visitors. Seldom: Bending, reaching overhead. **Minimum Qualifications** Associate’s degree in a related field, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience), plus two years of related experience required; ability to use logic and reasoning to prioritize tasks; computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet software, and/or database software preferred; demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills also required. Bachelor’s degree in a related field may be preferred.
