Reports to: Program Specialist 

Schedule: M-F Reg office hours
Supervises: N/A 

Rate of Pay: $21/hr

Function:

The Program Assistant is responsible for updating and maintaining all statistical records and reports for the Intermountain Division and provides administrative support to the program Department.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Review all monthly statistics, assuring accuracy and working with locations to make necessary corrections. Generate all statistical reports from Corps, SE units & DMSS monthly or as requested. Filter data by reviewing reports and identifying any statistical recording errors. Assist Corps Officers and Units in preparing Gross Error Corrections and submitting them to THQ when necessary. Maintain open communication with all Corps SE & DMSS to assist with accurate statistical reporting. Process Local Officer Commissions through the DC’s office. Work with Corps Officers to ensure that roll and meeting data in CMS is accurate and agrees with NSS. Prepare necessary reports for annual Program Reviews and Membership Roll Revisions. Assist with the preparation of reports for the IM Division's annual command review. Prepare reports for DHQ departments, Corps, SE, and DMSS, enabling them to make data-driven decisions based on facts and trends. Assist with Administrative support for the Program Department. Complete all required job training, including PTM, annually. Other duties assigned by the Program Specialist and The Secretary for Program.

 

 Qualification and Education Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. required. Work experience commensurate with the duties and responsibilities preferred Possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent Customer Service skills are required. Must work well with others and also have the ability to work well independently in a detailed, professional, and courteous manner Familiarity with Microsoft Office (particularly Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) Ability to learn new programs and skills relevant to the job requirements. Ability to maintain integrity and the highest level of confidentiality. Highly detail-oriented and outstanding organizational skills. Knowledge of The Salvation Army's mission, philosophy, culture, protocol, and organizational structure is preferred. Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while keeping attention to detail Capable of meeting deadlines. Salvationist preferred

 

Background Check

Continued employment will be contingent upon a biennial (every two years) background check that is processed in accordance with The Salvation Army’s policies.
