The salary range for this position is $16.50 - $20.63 (Hourly Rate)

Placement within the salary range is dependent on several factors such as relevant work experience and internal equity. For positions represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range is guided by the rules outlined in the collective bargaining agreement.

Description

**This is a Full Time position at 40 hours per week located at the Grayslake Outpatient facility for Family Medicine Residency.  Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8a-4:30p or 7:30a-4p.**

The Program Assistant reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

The Program Assistant is responsible for assigned administrative activities of the Residency Program including coordinating resident educational conferences, maintaining educational records and schedules as well as planning special education-related events. This position requires frequent interaction with residents, resident candidates, faculty, Graduate Medical Education and Northwestern Medicine representatives.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate all Educational Conferences including:Build and maintain the conference calendars, book speakers, room set-up, collect reports, summarize data, monitor conference attendance, assist the conference facilitator, sending out conference related reminders, curriculum and surveys, provide A/V assistance, assist with traveling arrangements for visiting speakers, build presentations, and run presentations as needed.Evaluation Systems/Resident Files/Reports/Schedules:Maintain up-to-date and accurate information in resident evaluation and scheduling web-based systems.Prepare for the semiannual evaluation meetings. Provide administrative support during meetingsMaintain the family medicine education files, portfolios, encounter reports, and spreadsheets of resident activity.Educational event planning and support:Assist in the coordination of Graduation, Orientation, Welcome picnic, OSCEs, etc.Assist the Education Coordinator and Administrative Manager with resident recruitment and other annual programs including the ITE exam and other event functions as assigned.Graduate Medical Education:Assist the Education Coordinator and Administrative Manager with GME responsibilities, such as generating and sending verifications.Residency Special Functions:Monitor the inpatient work room at Lake Forest Hospital.Assist the Education Coordinator, Administrative Manager, Associate Program Directors, Program Director and faculty conference moderators with administrative functions as needed.Provide administrative support for educational research projects.Order supplies/process reimbursements as needed.Assist in development of marketing material.

Qualifications

Required:

High school diplomaStrong communication skills, organization skills, and computer skills

Bachelor's degreeHealthcare experience
