JOB TITLE: Program Assistant (Westchester County)
FLSA: Non-Exempt
DEPARTMENT: Employment Services
REPORTS TO: Program Manager
SALARY: $35,000.00 to $40,000.00
SUMMARY: Provides administrative support to the Employment Services division
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Greet and assist clients and visitors who enter the facilityPerform administrative duties such as typing reports, letters/memos etc. Assist with the preparation of assigned reportsAssist with the collection of monthly statisticsProvide assistance with file maintenanceCall clients to remind them of upcoming appointments with employment service staffAssist with ordering of office supplies and maintaining supply inventoryResponsible for receiving/distribution of all mail, correspondence and suppliesAnswer phone calls and provide excellent customer service and provide program informationInteract regularly with Westhab clients and perform outreach calls to existing clientsMay perform other duties as assignedEXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Associates degree with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in an administrative position or equivalent; ability to use Microsoft Word for Windows, as well as knowledge of spreadsheets and database programs using Microsoft Excel. Excellent verbal, writing and organizational skills. Must be flexible to work some evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
