As a Program Controls Specialist II here at Honeywell, you will be accountable for assisting program control activities and ensuring the successful execution of programs and projects. This role involves assisting in the development and implementation of project planning and scheduling strategies, monitoring project costs and budgets, and analyzing project performance metrics. You will report directly to our Program Controls Manager and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a hybrid work schedule.

You will gain insights and experience with other Program Control Specialist responsibilities such as assigning resources/budgets to work scope and earned value methods. In this role, you will impact the financial health, operational efficiency, risk management, stakeholder relationships, and overall success of programs and projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

\n\nResponsible for program launch and execution\nDevelopment of initial program baselines\nPrepare and analyze internal cost report data\nEAC (estimate at completion) management on assigned programs\nCompliant to baseline change management processes\nEnsures cost and schedule integration\nProactively and effectively communicates with integrated program teams\nApply EVM (earned value management) knowledge and procedures to programs\nEffective data analytics using Program Management processes\nAbility to work independently and part of large and diverse team\nSupports organizational feedback for utilized tools and process efficiencies\nParticipates in organizational initiatives\nAssist with guiding new Specialists and team members\n\n

YOU MUST HAVE

\n\n2+ years experience in business analytics\nProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)\nDue to export control regulations, this position requires US citizenship status.\n\n

\n\nDegree in Business, Math, Finance or Economics or related field\nExperience as Program Controls Specialist\nAbility to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience\nUser experience of SAP system\nExperience in financial data compilation, analysis and metrics management\nExperience in usage of Earned Value metrics, managing budgets and milestone fidelity.\nProject Management certification\nCost Reporting Experience: CPR, IPMR, IPMDAR, CFSR\nIntegrated Master Schedule experience: Microsoft Project, SSI Tool\nEffective communication skills (written and verbal)\n\n
