Program Coordinator
**We are looking for a part-time Program Coordinator to join our NYAP Rockford team for our RYIS (Reimagine Youth Intervention Services) program.** **Schedule: Monday-Friday from 1pm-7pm, 30 hrs./week** **Position Summary** Responsible for administrative leadership for the RYDS program development, staff supervision, school and community liaison and budget management. **Working At NYAP** + Student Loan Repayment assistance, up to $1,200 per year! + Time off based on hours worked + Partial holiday pay + 401k + Partial summer hours + Mileage reimbursement for some positions **Responsibilities** The RYDS Program Coordinator position may include the following, as well as other duties assigned: + Support administrative staff in the writing and preparation of proposals and reports to funding sources. + Responsible for the supervision and maintenance of the program structure. + Document services provided, allowable costs, and accomplishments of objectives. + Planning, scheduling, coordinating and advertising specific program activities, modules, workshops, field trips and/or special evens. + Delegate tasks to all personnel. + Recruit and enroll students while maintaining the data base for all assigned school sites. + Maintaining a minimum average daily attendance of 85% for the site. + Hire, training, evaluate and supervise all personnel. + Design methods for and oversee all data collection, entries and interpretation. + Perform continuous contract objectivities, quarterly report data generation and report preparation as directed by IDHS. + Coordinate and maintain program budget. + Monitor program to ensure all funding source requirements are met. + Establish and maintain effective communications between funding source, target schools and community groups. + Maintaining all required sign-in sheets, attendance records, meal participation records, student files and all other required paperwork. + Maintenance and upkeep of a youth friendly environment that meets the standards outline in the CDFS Licensing Standards and PLCCA, Inc. + Providing outreach, referrals, and assistance to youth and their families. + Running regular meeting with program staff. + Perform all duties in accordance with personnel policies and the program’s fiscal guidelines. **Minimum Qualifications** + High School Diploma. Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work preferred or comparable Human Services field from an accredited institution. + 2-5 years of work experience working in direct service with youth. + Experience in child development, elementary education, physical education, recreation, camping or related fields preferred. + Experience in a recreational program or a licensed day care center serving school-age youth. + Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs. + Relevant experience working with individuals being served through the child welfare and/or juvenile justice system. + Familiarity with service area is preferred. + Experience in administering educational or social programs, managing budgets, writing proposals and supervising personnelstrongly preferred. **Other Skills** + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Strong organizational skills. + Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license. + Must be open and willing to work non-traditional work hours as well as on-call responsibilities. + Must be able to embrace working as a diverse team both effectively and respectfully with persons of any background, race, + color, religion, sexual orientation, ability, national origin, or culture. + Provide excellent internal and external customer service. + Minimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,00/$300,000 bodily injury liability If this describes YOU, please apply today! www.nyap.org/employment We know you are compassionate and dedicated to serving your clients and communities and NYAP is dedicated to providing support to those who join our team!
