**Major/Essential Functions:**
+ Employee will be required to complete this process within established deadlines. All files and records must be kept in an organized and orderly fashion to allow easy access to other staff members covering in a time of absence.
+ Performs other duties assigned by Chairman, Residency Program Director or Administrator, within the scope of the position, following TTUHSC policies and procedures in order to meet the goals and objectives of the department and residency program.
+ Liaison between the Department Purchasing Coordinator and Surgery Residents. Will provide purchasing coordinator with information, as appropriate, for P-Card transactions, direct pays or purchase order requisitions needed for residency program. Will be required to provide required documentation for transactions by established deadline. Must obtain approval, as appropriate before requests are submitted to Purchasing Coordinator.
+ Prepare and submit Personnel Action Forms (ePAF's) as needed for Residency Program Computer Yearly. Work performed must be accurate, thorough and must ensure that confidentiality is maintained at all times. Will be required to complete all ePAFs by established deadlines Assist with ATLS and Under Performance Standards.
+ Provides and performs back-up administrative support for the Research & Clerkship Programs, as needed in order to meet the goals and objectives of the department and respective program(s). Must have excellent communication skills and ability to make sound decisions. Must provide excellent customer service.
+ Audits faculty personnel files in accordance with ACGME for Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education Regulations.
+ Attends Residency Committee meetings. Review and discusses the administrative aspects of the program. Will participate in meetings by providing input into the overall direction of the operational aspects of the program.
+ Maintains Program letters of agreements for residents at teaching hospital and/or off-site training programs, in conjunction with Residency Program Director.
+ In conjunction with traveler, will coordinate Resident travel arrangements and reimbursement. Assures that all TTUHSC Travel policies and procedures are followed. Assures that the allowance for each respective resident is not exceeded. Approval by Program Director will be obtained before travel application is submitted.
+ Assists and maintains liaison between the program and the Residency Review Committee/GME. Is responsible to update the residency committee of current residency program, ACGME and institutional policy updates.
+ Maintains residency program records and evaluations. Completes program reports, in accordance with accreditation standards; tracks participant progress through the program for completion of requirements; coordinates information required for ongoing program certification. Review that all evaluations are sent out and completed by faculty. Audits compliance on a quarterly basis and reports to Program Director any findings.
+ Coordinates training/lecture programs and records evaluation of training programs. Develops informational materials including newsletters, brochures, training materials, and manual, as appropriate, to program. Provide yearly update of training materials to all new residents. Materials must be kept current at all times.
+ Develops, maintains, and coordinates clinical rotation schedules for residents at the teaching hospital and/or off-site training programs, in conjunction with Residency Program Director. Must have knowledge of Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program (5-year program) requirements.
+ Adhere to all TTUHSCEP policies, procedures and processes. Personally demonstrate, display, and act in accordance with TTUHSCEP’s values (Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork).
+ Actively promote and encourage staff across the institution.
+ Perform all other duties as assigned.
