New Jersey Resources is seeking a Program Coordinator to coordinate activities and plan events for the Community Relations department. Primary responsibilities include supporting the department with updating of brochures, mailings, stakeholder contact lists and duties associated with the processing and reporting of charitable foundation and departmental activities. Supports the Community Relations team members with educational, volunteer and other community outreach programs as needed.
Major Responsibilities:
• Supports various programs and coordinates company attendance at various community events.
• Assists with the design and development of ads for various non-profit publications such as ad journal books and event programs.
• Assists with the reconfiguring and updating of creative materials for company programs such as Lamp Lighters, Home Ownership and others as needed.
• Coordinates the Lamp Lighters’ Annual Dinner program by working with the committee, setting agendas and planning for event.
• Updates and maintains all contact lists for community relations programs.
• Assists the Manager of Community Outreach with processing and maintaining the database of the NJNG Charity, CTP Foundation and Community Relations O&M check requests.
• Assists with the Support Our Troops Holiday Gift Program.
• Assists with department mailings to encourage participation in various Community Relations programs.
• Attends community events to support department with event management or as a representative of the company to community stakeholders, as needed.
• Contributes in a collaborative manner to ideas for the creation of new or enhancement of existing Community Relations programs and events.
• Supports the Director of Community Relations with ongoing and special projects concerning the department, business unit and Company when needed.
Position requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, business administration, education, or related field.
• 0 to 2 years of related experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills,
• Knowledge of computer systems, including MS Office.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Requires frequent attendance at meetings or events that take place after regular work hours and on weekends.
