Under the direction of the Sr Director of Administration, the Department of Neurosurgery is seeking a Program Coordinator to provide support to leadership within the department. Assist with the oversight of all operational, financial, communications and educational activities for a growing department, including research revenue, grants and the management of budgets.
Among the key duties of this position are the following: Evaluates new and existing programs, and conduct comprehensive assessment of facility requirements, faculty support, equipment purchases, office supplies, funding, and staffing. Report findings to Department Chair and Sr. Director of Administration for action. Manages the student clinical shadowing program and student courses. Assists the Sr Director of Administration and Department Chair with faculty recruitments. Manages position postings and associated processes in the ROCs system. Manages the appointment, re-appointment, and promotion process under the direction of the Sr. Director of Administration and the Chair of the Department. Manages the onboarding process for all staff and faculty (credentialing, access to Barnabas and Rutgers systems, Epic, IDs, trainings, compliance, etc.) Maintains promotion, and credentialing records of faculty pertaining to state/institutional regulations and policies that affect the department. Position Status Full Time Hours Per Week Daily Work Shift Work Arrangement Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 or the applicable provisions of relevant collective negotiations agreements, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. Flexible work arrangements are not permanent, are subject to change or discontinuation, and contingent on the employee receiving approval in the FlexWork@RU Application System.
