SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee Steps to Success Program: Work with primaries around youth’s goal development, plan welcome dinners, distribute and track incentives, request moving-up meetings, plan recognition certificates or events related to Steps to Success Program. Co-facilitates regular House Meetings: Works with CCW and PM to schedule and facilitate House Meetings with an emphasis on building community and problem solving around youth concerns and house issues. Works with youth to identify concerns prior to meetings. Prepares agenda, keeps attendance, and documents meetings with minutes. Plans and implements in-house and community activities: Together with youth plans and implements activities both in the facility and in the community.  Activities may be either moms only or mother/child activities. Facilitates, or co-facilitates, these activities with Child Care Workers. Counseling: Understanding the impact of trauma on behavior and providing and modeling responsive care. Peer Group: Managing the group, understanding peer group dynamics, and creating a sense of community. Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS); Implement CPS strategies with youth and staff. BA level employee helps train and support staff in the use of CPS strategies. Safety Plans (ICMPs): Updates Safety Plans and reviews with staff in staff meetings (with BA level employee). Co-facilitates groups: Co-facilitates groups with clinical team staff and interns (with BA level employee). Documentation: Documents all activities through progress notes to be provided to the Case Worker. Provides receipts for expenditures. Teamwork: The ability to work with others and put the whole ahead of the parts.
