POSITION SUMMARY: Coordinate and oversee the daily operation of the Bridger program as well as direct supervision of staff. Assure delivery of quality care to consumers. This position may have supervised / unsupervised contact and or conversational interaction with consumers while working in the residences, day treatments and habilitation facilities.
ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Ability to screen clients, conduct assessments and determine areas of need for the successful discharge from Kingsboro Psychiatric Center
2. Oversee operation of the program in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
3. Participate in the development of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all agency and DOHMH regulations.
4. Monitor ongoing audit procedures designed to address regulatory compliance and quality assurance issues.
5. Program development and assessment of program needs.
6. Provide supervision/evaluation of staff. Conduct in-services as needed.
7. Coordinate staff work schedules and assignments.
8. Ensure all documentations are completed in a timely fashion and remain in compliance with agency & DMH policies.
9. Responsible for ensuring physical plant is in compliance with agency and DMH regulations at all times.
10. Responsible for reporting and documenting all incidents to immediate supervisor within 24 hours.
11. On call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to respond to emergencies.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Ability to operate an agency vehicle (not required).
2. Attend any scheduled training’s relevant to the position or deemed necessary by supervisor.
3. Participate in activities of other staff members in their absence or during periods of staff shortage.
4. Maintain confidentiality at all times.
5. Represent the Program at meetings and training’s not otherwise specified.
6. This does not limit the assignment of duties or exclude the performance of other duties not mentioned as assigned by supervisor.
Job Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalency diploma required and be an OMH-certified Peer Specialist/ OASAS-certified Peer Advocate. Bachelor's degree in field of Human Services (i.e., social work, psychology, counseling), preferred. Minimum of five years work experience in the field of mental health.
