Position Summary:

The Program Coordinator serves as a member of the Prevention team of WestCare Tennessee and works to ensure the delivery of quality services. This role provides awareness only to the Cocke County community. Coordination of services will be applied to WestCare Tennessee’s Drug Free Communities (DFC) program and Prevention Alliance of Cocke County (P.A.C.C).

Essential Job Functions:

Provides coordination, program activities, outreach and education/training to sectors and members of the Cocke County community for the DFC program under the guidance of the Area Director. Will engage and complete required trainings. Serve as a representative of WestCare Tennessee, DFC program, and PACC at community events, meetings, and activities. Effectively communicates on a consistent basis with coalition members including 12 sector representatives and other community stakeholders. Gather and compile appropriate materials to create Public Service Announcements (PSA) and media campaigns that promote the program goals and objectives to work collaboratively with local radio and tv stations. Coordinates monthly coalition meetings that will include the varies sectors of the DFC program to gain input and feedback. Identify, recruit and maintain 12 sectors for the DFC program that is vital to representing the Cocke County community. Implements the required grant protocols to maintain service quality and contract compliance. Develops and maintains positive working relationships with community partners that include the school system, law enforcement, local, federal, state, grantors, community stakeholders and other businesses and agencies. Recruit and train community volunteers with the assistance of PACC members. Plan, develop, and oversee a Youth Advisory Council (YAC). Serves as the liaison between the DFC & Me grant management team and Catalyst Evaluation Group, LLC team for WestCare Tennessee. Gathers appropriate data to generate the required grant reporting then inputs that data into the Catalyst Evaluation tracking system and the DFC & ME grant system in a timely manner. Collaborates with the Area Director and Regional Administrator to ensure compliance with agency policies and procedures. Strategic member to the WestCare Tennessee Leadership team in assisting in inquiring additional funding opportunities for maintaining and sustaining the DFC program and program activities.  Audit program materials and supplies ensuring additional ordering is within budgetary allocations. Collaborates with other WestCare Tennessee team members to promote and meet DFC requirements.  Embraces and embodies the mission, vision, guiding principles, and goals of WestCare Tennessee.
