Salary ranges from $ 18.00 - $20.00 per hour depending on Experience and Qualifications.
Position Summary:
The Program Coordinator- Graduates serves as a leader for transitional activities for aged out students. This position supports students with developmental disabilities aged 21 and over who reside on campus and are graduated from the residential School at Springbrook. Provides oversight of staff and coordination during program hours and essential communication and feedback to Assistant Directors, Managers and Individual Program Coordinator’s (IPC’s).
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manages daily program schedule to plan for individual choice, community integration, clinical services, vocational training, recreational on and off site activities, and volunteering.
• Ensures active programming for all individuals receiving services. Prepares and secures all materials necessary for said programs and ensures staff knowledge and competency in implementation.
• Trains, models and supervises best practice for direct support professionals in the provision of teaching and instruction to graduates.
• Develops, maintains, and updates individual safeguards as needed at the program to ensure individual safety.
• Ensures effective data collection methods and maintains records for individuals within the program.
• Monitors and facilitates daily transportation to and from the graduate program site and all community trips.
• Supports individuals with challenging behavior by implementing behavior support plans and physical interventions as needed.
• Communicates frequently with dept. leadership and residential management.
• All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED required; Associates degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Two (2) years’ experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software and e-mail applications, especially Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word; have the aptitude to learn other computer software as necessary.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. independently and assist in lifting weights exceeding 50 lbs.
• Meet the requirements to drive Springbrook vehicles as required.
• Be able to perform all physical interventions.
