Posting Summary Rutgers University Camden is seeking a Program Coordinator I in the department of Enrollment Management. The Program Coordinator I reports directly to the Senior Program Coordinator SPVR and is responsible for evaluating and approving transfer credits for undergraduate students at Rutgers University Camden. A significant aspect of the role involves meticulously entering, evaluating, and approving transfer coursework from various institutions to ensure alignment with Rutgers University Camden’s curriculum. This supports students’ academic progression by providing timely Transfer Summary Reports (TSRs), verifying course accreditation, and ensuring no duplications. The Program Coordinator I collaborates closely with part-time staff for data entry, upholds compliance with state and federal student record confidentiality laws (FERPA), and engages with fellow evaluators to maintain consistency and fairness in evaluations. Clear communication of evaluation outcomes to students is paramount for transparency throughout the process.
Another essential aspect of the role centers on coordinating and supporting student orientation registration events, representing a significant portion of responsibilities. Working closely with academic advisors and communications teams, the Program Coordinator I assists in planning and executing these events, focusing on seamless logistics and effective promotion. Post-event, evaluating attendee feedback helps identify areas for enhancement, ultimately contributing to improved student experiences and successful registration processes.
Administrative support is also integral, comprising tasks such as maintaining the NJ Transfer and RU Transfer databases. This includes updating course equivalencies promptly to facilitate efficient academic advising and enrollment. The Program Coordinator I collaborates with admissions teams, department chairs, and academic advisors to ensure accurate application of transfer credits and processing of placement exams.
Additionally, the Coordinator dedicates time to supporting recruitment and student outreach initiatives, participating in college fairs, recruitment events, and contributing to campaigns aimed at increasing student engagement and enrollment. This role encompasses various other duties assigned by senior management, demonstrating flexibility and readiness to assist in diverse administrative tasks within Student Enrollment Services.
