Job Title Program Coordinator I Agency Texas A&M University Department Center For International Business Studies Proposed Minimum Salary Commensurate Job Location College Station, Texas Job Type Staff Job Description Glimpse of the job Mays Business School - Center for International Business Studies (CIBS) is seeking a Program Coordinator to assist the Director in all aspects of center operations. This position coordinates the planning, development, promotion, and implementation of faculty-led, field trips, exchange, intern, volunteer, and research abroad programs. The Program Coordinator works on the development of programs and coordinates program management for students to participate in global programs. They support Mays Business School programs by working with faculty leaders and Education Abroad on the oversight and implementation of programs, including program applications, budget creation, vendor/provider selection, student vetting and selection, and pre-departure requirements. Essential Duties/Tasks + Faculty Program Development - Plans and implements faculty programs of the Center for International Business Studies (CIBS). Meets with faculty to coordinate faculty program proposals. This includes consulting on program dates and location, course(s), vendor/provider recommendations and selection. If program is selected, work with the Center’s Assistant Director to create a budget and assist with marketing and promotion. Once application opens, monitor applications, and respond to questions, review students, and assist faculty with student selection. Coordinates the billing of student fees for administrative and program fees with CIBS Business staff. Corresponds and interacts with students as needed regarding program details and provides updates regarding billing timeline and pre-departure requirements. + Student Advising - Responsible for holding office hours to consult students on all CIBS programs including global study, intern, volunteer, and research experiences as well as the Certificate in International Business. Assist with walk-in advising, responses to the CIBS general email, and front office support. + Program Management - Responsible for coordinating the application and admission process for a portfolio of global programs. Manages the online application system in the Education Abroad portal for all Mays global programs. Prepares decision correspondence and troubleshoots application problems. Responsible for administration and coordination of individual student programs sponsored through the Center's federal CIBER grant program. This includes support of student organization travel abroad and TAMU System student participation in Mays programs. + Promotion Initiatives and General Support - Assists with coordinating CIBS events, including fairs, program information sessions, and college-wide activities and events. Keeps up to date with new digital tools to communicate, arouse interest, recruit, advise, and manage students participating in various types of international opportunities. Responsible for planning various events for CIBS to collaborate with systems campuses. Participates in establishing goals, objectives, policies, and procedures and suggests recommendations for improvements for faculty, exchange, intern, volunteer, and research programs abroad. Assists with writing and editing of grant proposal(s), Maintains records/documentation and assists with preparing reports for CIBER program requirements. Qualifications Required Education and Experience + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. + Two years of related/similar experience in program coordination, project, and/or event management. Preferred Qualifications + Experience with Adobe Suite, Canva, applicant tracking and/or CRM tools, Mailchimp, or similar systems. + Experience living, working, and/or studying abroad. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: + Knowledge of spreadsheet, and database applications. + Ability to work independently and in a team environment. + Ability to work outside of business hours to include nights and/or weekends. + This position may have the opportunity for travel. What you need to know Salary: Salary starting at $47,900 (commensurate with selected hire’s experience).
