Job Title Program Coordinator II Agency Texas A&M University Department Office for Student Success Proposed Minimum Salary Commensurate Job Location College Station, Texas Job Type Staff Job Description What we want The Program Coordinator II, in the Office for Student Success (OSS), works collaboratively with leadership to plan, develop, and implement programs and systems that support student success and university goals of improved retention, graduation, and time to degree rates. OSS contributes to a collaborative campus-wide culture for student success and develops programs and services that are informed by best practices in higher education. This position is part of the unit whose function supports adoption and utilization of the student success management system across campuses and use of student analytics. The program coordinator is primarily responsible for coordination of training and provides support for Navigate users. What you need to know Salary : Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire’s experience.   Cover Letter/Resume: A cover letter and resume will assist us in our review of your application materials Qualifications Required Education and Experience: + Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience + Four years’ experience in program administration, advising, or related work in a college or university Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: + Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications; Google Suite + Proficiency in Microsoft Office + Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others + Commitment to develop and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders + Ability to investigate, analyze data, draw conclusions and make decisions to solve problems. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to design and deliver trainings and presentations + Experience with educational technology platforms and tools + Basic IT understanding and ability to troubleshoot technical issues with IT support + Ability to update content on website and social media Preferred Qualifications: + Strong problem-solving skills + High degree of self-initiative and ability to think and work independently + Ability to analyze data for retention and academic success programming Responsibilities Program Coordination, Training and Support: + Coordinates the planning, development, and implementation of the training program for student success management system + Creates presentations and training materials and delivers trainings on the use of EAB systems to academic advisors and student support staff for all campuses + Identifies and delivers resources to Navigate campus users + Partners with advising offices and units to provide trainings relevant to supporting efforts + Assesses and reports on adoption and utilization of Navigate of the university, college/schools/units. + Evaluates knowledge and use of Navigate at both the unit and by individual + Promotes participation in trainings and advance use of features to support student success programs System and Program Support: + Assists in the project management of EAB Navigate staff and student platforms, including identifying data needs, entering information, and establishing policies and procedures + Serves as a system administrator and contact for inquires, application troubleshooting, includes work-flow configuration and data requests + Provides support to staff working with student success initiatives + Develops methods of promoting and enrolling users and updating them once subscribed + Assists in determining the reliability and use of the predictive functions in EAB Navigate + Assists in establishing short-term and long-term goals of unit including strategic planning. May supervise student assistants and graduate assistants + Serves as a liaison with EAB and units across campuses maintaining relationships Administrative: + Collaborates and provides support to other units within the Office for Student Success. Interprets department and university rules and procedures and assists with management of human and fiscal resources.
