Job Title Program Coordinator II Agency Texas A&M University Department College of Performance, Visualization & Fine Arts Proposed Minimum Salary Commensurate Job Location College Station, Texas Job Type Staff Job Description What we want The Program Coordinator II is responsible for the management and direction of several on-going projects and moves, management of current and future laboratories, as well as asset and space allocation management for the College of Performance, Visualization & Fine Arts. What you need to know Salary: Compensation will be commensurate to the selected hire’s experience Cover Letter/Resume: A cover letter and resume are strongly recommended Schedule: Works to cover shifts, or take emergency calls, on evenings, weekends, and holidays as required Qualifications Required Education and Experience: + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience + Four years of related experience Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: + Ability to promptly respond to on-site emergency calls + Ability to assist with management, planning and organizing building maintenance and operations + Ability to operate a university vehicle to drive to various locations in a timely manner Other Requirements and Factors: + Persons in this position are considered essential when the University declares an emergency, campus closure, class cancellations, etc., and are therefore required to report to work and remain on duty unless/until relieved by the direct supervisor + Will be required to drive a University or other motor vehicle to locations on and off campus Responsibilities PVFA Management: + Assists with routine, preventative, and planned maintenance issues to include custodial, plumbing, utilities, energy conservation, building automation systems, electrical systems, facility equipment, hazardous conditions, damaged walls, floors, and ceilings, building safety and security, and leaks + Assists with the preparation of required work requests for electrical, plumbing, custodial, carpentry, key and sign shops to perform work required to maintain facilities for instructional and research use + Assists with departmental moves, special building deliveries, and shipments + Serves as a point of contact for all building inspections + Coordinate the transition of equipment to the Surplus Department + Maintains building security via hard keys and electronic security management + Manage the maintenance and purchasing of all associated tools, equipment, and vehicles Coordination: + Works closely with Campus Planning Design & Construction team and contractors to coordinate renovation and construction projects + Conduct daily walk-throughs to ensure construction projects are on task + Lends direct support and expertise to the Assistant Dean of Business Services for day-to-day facility operations of multiple facilities + Coordinate with Facilities Analytics and Mapping to track space inventory + Confirms facilities operates according to building schedule; Opens and secures entrances according to daily schedule + Coordinates with operations team on common space usage for events, including after-hours use Event Support: + Provide event planning as it relates to College and Unit needs + Plan out the daily setup event schedule and determine set-up requirements, check with Event Coordinators and Event Managers if there are questions, and check rooms for correct setup + Leads internal and external constituents, suppliers, and vendors in executing assigned events + Creates a daily plan to manage the setup of events occurring in four buildings and multiple outdoor areas on and off campus. This requires driving a University or other motor vehicle to travel to these locations, where daily planning will be conducted + May function as the events manager for events in the evenings or on weekends + Executes appropriate risk management procedures to include crowd control measures and coordinates with University Police, Environmental Health and Safety, and other officials to ensure compliance with TAMU and TAMUS regulations and policies + Be knowledgeable of the audiovisual and catering needs of events to help ensure successful meetings, conferences, and events Communication: + Assists with the communication between occupants and other stakeholders regarding facility-related issues to include maintenance, emergency preparedness and construction + Promotes safe building access practices for faculty, staff, and students + Coordinates communication between all concerned parties + Coordinates with outsourced area maintenance, landscape, and construction crews Staff Supervision and Training: + May supervise program student workers + Develops and updates training materials and delivers training Who we are Texas A&M University’s College of Performance, Visualization & Fine Arts (PVFA) educates dancers, directors, computer graphics engineers, composers, art historians, sound technologists and more.
