The school is operated by Georgia Connections Academy, a nonprofit corporation, through a contract with Connections Academy of Georgia, LLC, to provide its educational program and other services. Connections Academy, a division of Connections Education, is accredited by Cognia, and Georgia Connections Academy is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges & Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement. 

Job Summary: 

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as the Elementary School Program Coordinator, focused on grades K-2. This coordinator position plays a vital role in supporting the educational mission of the school. This position is responsible for assisting the Principal and Assistant Principal in the overall administration and management of the school, with a primary focus on student success and teacher support. 

All GACA staff must be able to participate in monthly in-person activities, including but not limited to: 

School and department meetings, Student engagement opportunities,  Required training/development,  School-level events, such as state testing and graduation. 

This is a 12-month, full-time position. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Responsible for gathering, organizing, and disseminating crucial data related to School Year Cycle tasks (SYC), contacts, grading, and other relevant information. o Collaborates with stakeholders to ensure accurate and up-to-date data collection, facilitating efficient decision-making processes.  Provides support in planning and coordinating Student Engagement Opportunities (SEOs) and other grade-level activities to enhance the overall educational experience. o Fosters communication and collaboration among educators and staff to ensure seamless execution of planned activities.  Takes a proactive role in preparing and organizing meetings and agendas for Career Ladder discussions, ensuring that all pertinent topics are covered and objectives are met effectively.  Create and execute initiatives to drive a positive school culture.  Regularly updates and maintains the GPAL Newsletter every week, ensuring that it reflects the latest information, policies, and procedures.  Takes charge of overseeing Stuart’s Study Squad and Targeted Standards Instruction (SSS/TSI) signature programs, ensuring that they align with organizational goals and provide necessary support to students and staff.  Works diligently to ensure the consistent implementation of organizational policies and best practices across all relevant areas, fostering a positive and compliant work environment.  Establishes a comprehensive monitoring and tracking system for all signature programs, collecting relevant data points to assess their effectiveness and impact. o Generate regular reports to evaluate program success and recommend improvements or adjustments as needed. 

o Collaborates with the compliance department to provide support during high demand school cycles. 

Takes a leadership role in conducting grade-level or team meetings, fostering an environment of open communication, collaboration, and productivity. 

o Discuss progress, challenges, and strategies to maximize the overall 

effectiveness of the team. 

Conducts ongoing research and analysis to identify best practices and procedures in education and related fields. 

o Uses findings to inform the development of future programs, ensuring continuous improvement and innovation within the organization. 

Serves as a major program information resource person, acting as liaison between schools, departments, District office, and other locations. Dispenses pertinent information and direction to students, parents, staff, and visitors. Attends meetings as a recorder, preparing minutes from notes. Composes a variety of materials from brief verbal and written instruction. Compiles, develops, and designs reports, newsletters, and special projects from a variety of sources.Coordinate communication regarding ES initiatives for staff and families. Refers specific communications or correspondence to appropriate staff members for the gathering of data or for a response. Coordinates follow-up tasks to ensure that the timelines are met; arranges correspondence for supervisor's personal reply in the order of a predetermined priority with appropriate background materials available for reference. Exercises diplomacy in answering questions and resolves situations involving students, parents, public, school staff and district personnel through knowledge of school policies and general district rules and regulations. Observe, supervise, and evaluate staff, as assigned, in accordance with district policies including TKES. Assists with new student enrollment tasks such as, but not limited to, the review of principal flags, course placements, and sectioning. Other duties as assigned and needed by school administrators.

Minimum Qualifications 

Must be a GaPSC certified educator  Must have no ethics violations  Must have received a rating of Effective or Highly Effective in the most recent performance review.  Must have a clearance certificate as defined by the GaPSC.  GaPSC Education Leadership Certificate or currently enrolled in a leadership program.

Preferred Qualifications: 

Education : Bachelor’s degree in education, administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred  Demonstrates exceptional oral and written communication skills  Project Management experience  Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.  Skilled in the use of spreadsheets  Experience in training and/or coaching adult learners  Demonstrated ability to administer state mandated assessments free of adult caused irregularities  Experience in analyzing data to make informed decisions  Strong desire to continue career improvement and advancement through professional development
