Position Description
The Program Coordinator for the Opioid System of Care will play a key role in organizing, planning, and coordinating programs and strategic programmatic meetings that support the mission of addressing opioid use disorder in the Nashville-Davidson County community. This position requires strong marketing, planning, and organizational skills, with a focus on youth-centered program development. The ideal candidate will be skilled in creating and delivering presentations, utilizing multimedia content, and fostering collaboration among stakeholders.
Typical Duties
Program Coordination:
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate meetings and programs aligned with the goals of the Opioid System of Care.
• Develop and implement strategies to engage youth and community members in opioid prevention, education, and recovery initiatives.
• Assist in evaluating program effectiveness and suggesting improvements.
Marketing & Communication:
• Create marketing materials, including presentations, flyers, and digital content, to promote initiatives.
• Utilize various multimedia platforms to create marketing materials to raise awareness and enhance outreach efforts.
• Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all communications.
Youth-Focused Program Planning:
• Design and implement youth-centered programs that educate and engage young people on the impacts of opioid use and prevention strategies.
• Partner with MNPS schools, youth organizations, and community groups to facilitate programming.
Stakeholder Engagement:
• Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, non-profits, and community organizations.
• Provide administrative support for committee meetings, including preparing agendas, tracking attendance, and recording minutes.
Logistics and Event Management:
• Coordinate event logistics, including venue selection, setup, and materials preparation.
• Track and manage program budgets, ensuring cost-effective delivery of services.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in integrated communications, marketing, social work, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in program coordination, marketing, or related areas.
Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
+ Experience working in advertising/ marketing settings.
+ Knowledge of opioid use disorder and related community resources.
+ Familiarity with trauma-informed practices.
+ Skills in group instruction and program facilitation.
+ Proven experience in program coordination, marketing, or related areas.
+ Experience in planning and organizing youth-centered programs.
+ Demonstrated ability to create and deliver engaging presentations and multimedia content.
+ Strong organizational and project management skills.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, or similar design tools.
