Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Program Coordinator (Training, Outreach ad Evaluation) for the Center for Public Health Workforce Development within the School of Public Health, located in Somerset, NJ
The Program Coordinator will administer and coordinate the development and implementation of training, outreach, policy, research studies, consultation, and comprehensive planning documents for the department, specifically focusing on occupational safety and health issues; and oversee the day-to-day administration of programs, projects, and/or processes regarding the planning, preparation, evaluation, and control of communications, events, records, statistics, reports, and documents.
The Program Coordinator will also oversee the operation of training, outreach, and program development in Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. Perform professional level work that requires knowledge of program coordination and the application and use of concepts, theories, and terminology of the organization. The position emphasizes coordination across data processes, program evaluation, outreach initiatives, and report preparation. The coordinator ensures the efficient operation of programs by developing innovative solutions, supporting grant compliance, and advancing program effectiveness.
Duties include: Reviews Federal, State, Local, and industry requirements and guidelines to develop occupational safety and health curriculum. Performs outreach activities engaging stakeholders, including conducting community needs assessments and facilitating collaboration, to increase awareness of occupational safety and health issues across Region 2 (NJ, NY, PR, and USVI). Schedule training, identify and assign course instructors, develop and update course curricula, perform evaluation of training programs. Coordinate and oversee small and large offsite continuing education events for professionals and community organizations. Support the preparation of conference presentations, journal submissions, and public-facing materials that communicate program impacts
