Day-To-Day:

The Program Coordinator will train, supervise, and monitor direct care staff in performance of their assigned duties. Maintains staff and client files as required; reviews and audits all program documentation for accuracy and compliance with contracts. Assists in the development of Individual Program Plans (IPP) to meet training needs of consumers using the interdisciplinary team approach. Supervises self-administration of medication and completes documentation as required by Volunteers of America Texas Policies and Procedures. Documents consumers’ progress, including completing daily log, training reports, behavior data tracking, weekly summaries according to billing guidelines, and other charting as required by the programs. Assists with the continuous instruction, supervision, training, encouragement, and reinforcement to consumers according to programs outlined in the Individual Program Plan; provides direct supervision for safety. Assists in the coordination of consumers’ activities at the LEC and in the community. Transports consumers as needed in facility vehicle. Maintains the facility and equipment in a safe and clean condition and reports repair needs in a timely manner.

Job Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in a human services related field plus one year experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities OR a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus five years of related experience and/or training working with individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Valid Texas Drivers’ License, clear MVR and ability to be insured.
