The Program Director is responsible for the overall planning, implementation, and evaluation of all programs and activities offered by Boys & Girls Clubs. This role involves developing a comprehensive strategy for program delivery, ensuring high-quality service to members, and fostering a positive environment for youth development.
ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties:
Program Planning:
Plan and oversee programs and activities that support Youth Development OutcomesEstablish program objectives consistent with organizational goals and mission.Oversee the provision of day-to-day program activities in accordance with established standards and goals.Ensure that members are encouraged to participate in a variety of program areas/activities and receive instruction and constructive feedback to develop skills in program areas.Demonstrate leadership to conduct, safety and development of members.Promotes and stimulates interest in the assigned core program areas by establishing positive relations in the community, including but not limited to parents, schools, civic groups, and businesses.
Administrative Functions
The Program Director completes and submits reports, member statistics and program outcomes in a timely manner.Prepare regular reports on program activities, and outcomes.Attend scheduled staff meetings.Maintain close, daily contact with Club staff and Club members.Maintain contact as needed with external community groups, schools, members parents and others to assist in resolving problems.
Additional Responsibilities
May oversee special programs and/or events and/or particiapte in the implementation of other unit activities as necessaryMay be required to drive club van periodicallyMay consult with parents concerning member and branch issues Qualifications
Qualifications:
Proven ability of program oversight. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
Position Requirements:
High school Diploma.Must be 21 years of age or older.3+ years of experience in teen development, leadership or a related field.Pass pre-employment background screening and drug test.Valid FL Driver’s License and be insured under the BGCSDC’s policy.Occasional nights and weekends are required.
