The Program Director is responsible for managerial, operational, and administrative duties relating to the program.  The Program Director will ensure compliance with the implementation and adherence to the fidelity of the Youth Mentoring Program and Elements of Effective Mentoring Practices. The Program Director represents Southwest Key Programs in the most positive manner with prospective, former and current youth/families, funding sources, suppliers and the community served.  Required to work flexible schedules to facilitate program services.

Essential Functions: Facilitates individual and group mentoring sessions, organizes monthly Mentoring activities and implements the program utilizing curriculums and adheres to the Elements of Effective Mentoring Practices.Ensure all contractual requirements and grant specific financial requirements are met.Adhere to and implementation of the terms of the contract in accordance with the funding source and Southwest Key’s Programs policy and procedures.Monitor and evaluate all data in the Southwest Key Programs database and pursue corrective action plan if outcomes and date are not meeting program model expectations.Ensure all reports required are submitted to the Regional Executive Director, Funding Source, and national headquarters in a timely manner.Ensure all billings and documents that are submitted to national headquarters are complete, accurate, and on time.Provide leadership, supervision, and modeling to all employees, volunteers and/or contractors.Comply with all employment and labor laws.Ensure the safe condition of the building, vehicles, and all equipment.Address all problematic work performance in accordance with company policy. Recruitment and hiring of all staff at the program.Initiate and maintain community involvement with local juvenile justice boards, stakeholders, and juvenile justice entities and community partners.Develop and maintain productive relations with various community agencies.Monitor and maintain compliance with organization, licensing, and funding sources for all program departments. Provide virtual services and facilitate virtual meetings as needed. Other Functions: Maintain open and consistent communication with Regional Executive Director.Maintain all required training and certifications. Travel as needed for training, meetings, and conferences.Initiate and maintain effective communication with all program staff members.Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.Attend and participate in all required professional trainings and workshops.Work evening and weekend hours. Qualifications and Requirements: A combination of one of the following:Bachelor’s degree in a social service or related field with a total of five (5) year supervisory/administrative experience. A Masters's degree in social services or related field, with a total of two (2) years supervisory/administrative experience with at-risk youth. Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Windows (Microsoft Word, Excel), a variety of online database systems.Possess good verbal and writing skills.Clear background check from appropriate entityMust possess a valid state driver’s license, registration, and maintain state-mandated car insurance.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Master’s Degree with clinical background; LCSW, LMSW, LPC, LPC-A, or LMF

 

Physical Demands:

Must be able to obtain First Aid Certification (CPR). Must be able to verify the client’s whereabouts by driving, sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time. Daily use of various office equipment. Bending, stooping, climbing upstairs, and lifting up to 15 lbs. required to complete daily tasks.

Work Environment:

This is a program that requires daily contact at various client locations. Work shifts are subject to change. Noise levels vary from mild to moderate. This position may require extended periods of time in an automobile. Exposed to prevalent weather conditions.
