PROGRAM DIRECTOR

Ottilie RTF is an OMH residential facility that exclusively serves children, adolescents, and young adults aged 10 to 21 with a serious emotional disturbance as well as developmental delays. The 24-hour facility provides the most intensive residential mental health services available outside of a hospital. The Ottilie RTF offers a highly structured, therapeutic setting that focuses on strengthening family connections, providing a trauma-sensitive approach to treatment, and preparing the youth to return to their communities. 

The Program Director will oversee all aspects of the Ottilie Residential Treatment Facility, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed care to residents. This role involves program development, staff supervision, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with external stakeholders to support the mission and goals of SCO Family of Services.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Program Management:

 

Develop and implement evidence-based therapeutic models of care tailored to the needs of residents with serious emotional disturbances and developmental delays.

 

Create and maintain a safe, caring, and therapeutic program milieu that fosters healthy child development and effective limit-setting.

 

Staff Supervision and Development:

 

Provide direct supervision to staff, fostering professional development and ensuring adherence to best practices.

 

Develop systems and interventions that offer a broad range of activities and enrichment opportunities for residents.

 

Regulatory Compliance and Financial Management:

 

Ensure compliance with relevant city and state mandates, maintaining the program’s operating license and certifications.

 

Oversee the program’s financial integrity, including budgeting, billing, and financial reporting.

 

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.

 

Stakeholder Collaboration:

 

Collaborate with external partners, including the Office of Mental Health (OMH), educational institutions, and community organizations, to enhance program services.

 

Participate in agency-wide committees and initiatives, representing the Ottilie RTF and contributing to organizational development.

 

Engage with residents’ families, providing support and facilitating their involvement in treatment planning.

 

 

 

 

Qualifications:

 

Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field; licensure preferred.

 

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a residential treatment setting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

 

Demonstrated expertise in trauma-informed care and evidence-based therapeutic interventions for youth with emotional and developmental challenges.

 

Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and best practices in residential treatment facilities.

 

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

 

Commitment to cultural competence and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

 

 

 

 

Salary:

 

The annual salary for this position is $110,000.
