Program Director - Dental Education
Valleywise Health is starting a new AEGD Residency!  The candidate selected for this role will be an integral part of this unique opportunity and be part of building a very special dental program. Under the direction and guidance of the Director of Dentistry, the Program Director is responsible for the administration and direction of the Valleywise Health Advanced Education in General Dentistry program (AEGD). 
You will have supervision of, and participation in resident patient care within the clinical setting for the ongoing operation of the dental program. This includes monitoring faculty, and resident evaluations, as well as ongoing outcome and quality assurance measures for the AEGD program in compliance with accreditation standards required of the program, and Valleywise Health.
Annual Salary Range: $127,940.80 - $188,718.40
Qualifications
Education: Requires graduation from a School of Dentistry accredited by CODA. Must have a prior appointment as a director of an Advanced Education in General Dentistry or General Practice Residency program or have completed an accredited Advanced Education in General Dentistry or General Practice Residency Program (Std 3-2) Experience: Must have a minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible dental experience that demonstrates a strong understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.   Requires prior supervisory/management experience, preferably within Dentistry.   Certification/Licensure: Must be eligible and obtain or currently hold an active license issued by the Arizona Board of Dental Examiners. Must be eligible and credentialed by Valleywise Health and all third-party payer systems in which the dental program participates.  A BLS, ACLS, or PALS card obtained through an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training center is preferred and will be required within 3 months. Must have a valid fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety or submit a completed Affidavit at the time of hire. Must complete fingerprint clearance card application within seven (7) days of hire date. Must present actual card within 90 days of applying for a fingerprint clearance card. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must possess good organizational, problem solving and computer skills. Must possess good written and verbal communication skills for interfacing with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, and other contacts. Must have good business acumen. Must be able to use reference tools to evaluate patient care and answer questions posed by customers. Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English. Bilingual is preferred. Must have the ability to work with culturally diverse people.
