Position: Program D irector Location: Penn State Berks Campus (Lehigh Valley LaunchBox) Duration: April - August Employment Type: Part-Time
Commitment -
April – August – Remote Project Management , Planning, Recruitment, Engagement, Coordination , post session review , evaluation and reporting .
July 27 – August 2 Onsite oversight and implementation
Overview: Lehigh Valley LaunchBox is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to deliver a Teen Entrepreneurship Challenge. This part-time position is ideal for an educator passionate about fostering an entrepreneurial mindset in high school students and impact ing the next generation of innovators.
Key Responsibilities:
+ On-Site Oversight: Stay on-site in residence at the Penn State Berks campus during the week of July 28 thru August 2 to coordinate and oversee workshops, ensure the smooth operation of all activities, support and encourage participants and address any issues that arise during the program .
+ Enhance C urrent Curriculum: Contribute to the current week-long program curriculum designed to teach a n entrepreneurship mind set to h igh school students by adding value and cultivat ing student and prog ram success . ( grades 9-12).
+ Program Marketing & Recruitment: Lead efforts to market and recruit students to participate in the program with support from the PSULV Strategic Communication team . This includes updating and developing promotional materials designed to engage and insp ire high school students to reach their full entrepreneurial potential , by contacting high schools with support from our Enrollment Management team , and youth serving organizations through face-to-face conversation s with support from the Network of PSU LaunchBoxes , and the utiliz ation of social media platforms.
+ Workshop Facilitation: Actively participate in the delivery of some workshops, identify additional high impact and engaging speakers and program activities , a nd provide support and guidance to students as they explore entrepreneurial concepts.
+ Student interest interviews : Meet potential participants t o determine the ir suit ability for participating and following the requirements of a residential program .
Qualifications:
+ A master's degree in education , youth d evelopment, or a related field.
+ Proven experience t eaching educational content related to entrepreneurship, with a focus on engaging youth.
+ Demonstrated ability to develop educational curricula tailored to high school students.
+ Strong communication and organizational skills tha t support the growth of Lehigh Valley LaunchBox programming and student participants .
+ Experience in event planning , project management and program coordination required .
+ C ommit ment to the part-time schedule from April to August and onsite residential oversight during the week of July 28 through August 2 .
Compensation: Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
