Program Director- Regional Compliance Officer

The UHS Corporate Compliance Department is hiring Program Director- Regional Compliance Officer to provide ethics, healthcare, and regulatory support for UHS and its subsidiary healthcare operations for an assigned regional area comprised of numerous acute care hospitals and behavioral health facilities. Key Responsibilities include: Respond to issues involving healthcare fraud, waste, and abuse laws; general billing, coding, and reimbursement; physician compensation compliance; conflicts of interest; quality and patient care matters Support the Chief Compliance & Privacy Officer in all aspects of the UHS Compliance Program related to the assigned region Assist with all healthcare operations with analysis and reporting processes for regulatory enforcement activity Develop and present compliance trainings to the UHS subsidiary healthcare operations Support auditing and monitoring programs and supports the compliance hotline and investigations process Conduct compliance investigations providing guidance to the field on day-to-day healthcare regulatory compliance and privacy issues as they arise in operations Establish and maintain optimal working relations with Facility Compliance Officers (FCOs) and assists in the coordination of compliance investigations, guidance, education, training, related to all aspects of the implementation of UHS’ Compliance Program in assigned region Manages and participates in special projects as requested Qualifications Bachelor's Degree required, Master’s degree preferred with a minimum of five years of healthcare experience in a healthcare legal role and/or 8-10 years of experience in a role supporting healthcare regulatory compliance. Candidate should have strong understanding of healthcare regulatory compliance generally and including but not limited to fraud waste and abuse laws, general knowledge of billing and coding requirements and physician compensation issues, conflicts of interest and general healthcare compliance matters Effective communication, organizational, collaboration and time management skills Candidate shall possess appropriate professional demeanor and be comfortable communicating regularly with C-suite level healthcare executives Candidate should be familiar with Word, Excel, and Outlook Role will require extensive use of SharePoint audit and monitoring platform and compliance databases This opportunity provides a rewarding career, challenging and rewarding work environment as well as growth and development opportunities within UHS and its subsidiaries, including competitive compensation, excellent Medical, Dental, Vision and Prescription Drug Plan, and 401k with company match.
