KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Directs the strategic planning, development and implementation of a large and complex program or of several smaller programs. Plans, administers and monitors program budgets. Develops short and long term goals and objectives. Oversees related special projects. May represent the program in various national and international settings. May manage the solicitation of funding from foundation, corporate, individual and governmental donors. Collaborates with and seeks the support of representatives from other organizations. Establishes and administers policies and procedures. Supervises staff. Performs related responsibilities as required.

ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:

Provides strategic leadership and technical direction for various aspects of a large and complex Down Syndrome program within the School of Medicine. Responsible for overall management, technical development, implementation, personnel, budget, and financial oversight of program. Builds partnerships and relationships; works with NIH, INCLUDE DCC, the DS-CRS, and/or other partners. Plans, administers, and monitors program budgets. Develops short- and long-term goals and objectives. Oversees related special projects. May represent the program in various state and national settings. May manage the solicitation of funding from foundations, corporate, individual and governmental sponsors. Collaborates with and seeks the support of representatives from other organizations. Establishes and administers policies and procedures. Ensures regulatory requirements including the single IRB. Supervises staff. Complies with all ethical guidelines for scientific and human subjects' research. Performs related responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to program workSeven years of related experience which includes two years at a management level, OR an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

A master's degree in public health, sciences, public administration or a related fieldEight years of related experience which includes five years at a management level, OR an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location.  Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
