Position OverviewQinetiQ US is looking for an intern to join our Defense Modernization team to support records management and audit preparation for some of our largest defense programs. This role will present an opportunity to gain hands on experience in defense program management, including experience processing contracts from a business and finance perspective; and to gain professional experience working with a mid-tier, disruptive US defense company.
Responsibilities Work closely with the QinetiQ US Defense Modernization leadership to assist with the records management of program files.Develop tracking tools for training materials and contract deliverables.
Work directly with multiple Program Manager(s) managing $100M+ to gain insight and understanding of how DoD contracts are run and managed.
Organizing, cleaning and tracking files and records for people on the contract.Review program files for completeness and assist with document collection. Clean up and identify missing files.Ensure deliverables listed in appropriate folders.Formatting and identifying resumes for key positions.Attend weekly battle rhythms with Program Manager(s) to receive tasking and be prepared to discuss issues or concerns and document accomplishments using visual tools such as Microsoft PowerPoint and Word. Required Qualifications Pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field (Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Program Management).Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communications with proven ability to work collaboratively.Proficient with MS Office Suite software including PowerPoint.Mission oriented, fiercely curious.Exposure and interest in the US Defense industry.Organization skills.Attention to detail.Must be able to work independently on a project basis and meet deadlines. Preferred Qualifications Matriculating as a junior or senior.Pursuing a Master's degree in a relevant field, such as an MBA.SharePoint experience.
