Program Management Lead - Vice President - Commercial Mortgage Warehouse Lending Program - New York
Citi’s Commercial Mortgage Warehouse Lending Program provides loan-on-loan financing for CRE mortgage loans originated by non-bank lenders who are backed by established sponsorship and institutional capital. The portfolio, number of facilities and counterparties has grown substantially and is expected to continue. The business is looking for a fully dedicated, legal professional to support the team in various aspects of facility origination, closing, and modifications, the asset pledge process and post-closing asset management. **Responsibilities:** + Highly knowledgeable and effective attorney and/or business professional leveraging commercial real estate expertise for new loan origination and asset management + Provide strategic insight and counsel for deal closings in the commercial real estate space with a strong focus on warehouse/repo/loan-on-loan lending. + Possesses strong negotiation skills with an ability to assess risk and evaluate liability exposure. + Draft, review and negotiate various documents such as term sheets, facility agreements and other origination and syndication documentation. + Assist the deal team in the structuring and/or evaluation of loan and facility modifications. + Act as a liaison between in-house legal, outside counsel, business deal team and client. + Provide support to the deal team in managing the approval and closing process including procuring or assisting with Citi KYC, internal legal, and credit committee/risk approval. + Supports planning, directing and coordination of day-to-day activities. + Applies in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the subfunction as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function; and, requires basic commercial awareness. + Assesses creation and signoff of program plan and charter, benefits management plan, stakeholder management plan, acceptance plan, and central program issue log. + Oversees program plans meet business needs as described in the program initiation documents. + Ensures all stakeholders are identified and included in scope definition activities and understand the program schedule and key milestones. + Works with Program Sponsor to ensure business case cost benefit analysis is in line with business objectives. + Ensures all areas of the program are appropriately staffed. + Monitors program commitment from those assigning resources. + Escalates program risks to the Program Director, or Program Sponsor, when appropriate. + Creates the program risk management plan. + Works with procurement team to create, administer, track, and eventually close program contracts. + Makes recommendations for training and development needs for assigned personnel. + Evaluates subordinates' performance and makes recommendations for pay increases, promotions, terminations, and other personnel actions. + Directs area supported through responsibility for delivery of end results and shared responsibility for budget management; accountable for resource planning. + Ensures essential procedures are followed and contributes to defining standards. + Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.’ **Qualifications:** + 6-10 years of experience (3-5 years of experience if lawyer) + Negotiate skills with external parties. **Education:** + Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially law degree ------------------------------------------------------ **Job Family Group:** Project and Program Management ------------------------------------------------------ **Job Family:** Program Management ------------------------------------------------------ **Time Type:** Full time ------------------------------------------------------ **Primary Location:** New York New York United States ------------------------------------------------------ **Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:** $129,840.00 - $194,760.00 In addition to salary, Citi’s offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
