Program Manager, IT Delivery Transformation

As a member of this team, you will be part of a multi-year technology transformation program where we are focused on transforming the American Airlines IT organization in many ways, anchored by our corporate vision and mission. Across six workstreams, we are driving resiliency in delivery, excellence in engineering, and modernizing our technology. Your role in support of this journey is driven by working directly with key stakeholders to make strategic decisions that align to our labor transformation enabling a globalized workforce with new roles, responsibilities and tiles across IT. + The Program Manager is critical to the progress and success of the Delivery Transformation program to advance program objectives and metrics, and drive adoption of key changes. **What you'll do** _As noted above, this list is intended to reflect the current job but there may be additional essential functions (and certainly non-essential job functions) that are not referenced. Management will modify the job or require other tasks be performed whenever it is deemed appropriate to do so, observing, of course, any legal obligations including any collective bargaining obligations._ + Develop a strong working knowledge of the solution being implemented and provide related industry trends and analysis + Analyze and interpret program data to prepare and deliver overall program review to sponsors and stakeholders + Deliver programs following Agile methods and best practices + Proactively identify and develop/formulate solutions for managing dependencies, mitigating risks and resolving issues at program level + Actively drive the analysis and ultimate disposition of all change requests impacting assigned program + Provide thought leadership, review processes and provide efficiency recommendations for all aspects of program management with an eye to sustaining and/or evolving the practice of program management at American + Responsible for partnering with leadership to prepare and deliver reporting, program metrics and presentations + Conduct effective and efficient large room planning sessions to build release plans, manage risks and dependencies, plan for contingencies and other program activities that require coordination with strong facilitation + Develop and maintain pro-active and constructive relationship with stakeholders by demonstrating an understanding of the business, associated requirements and set expectations accordingly + Collaborate with business unit leads to prioritize work based on business value + Act as escalation point for project managers and proactively resolve any reported issues that will have impact to the overall program timeline **All you'll need for success** **Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience** + Bachelor’s Degree in Business, project management or technical field or equivalent experience/training + 4 years of progressive broad-based information systems and business experience, delivering complex technology solutions + 3 years of experience scaling Agile to the program level or participating on a complex program as a business lead **Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience** + Broad experience in a variety of computing platforms (mainframe, client/server, web, cloud, social media, etc.) + Data visualization experience (Tableau, etc.) + Experience with practical application of Organizational Change Management methods **Skills, Licenses & Certifications** + Proactive, organized, accurate, fast and detail-oriented with strong interpersonal, planning and time management skills + Excellent leadership skills, including negotiation, critical thinking, management of company politics, building good relationships, coaching project managers and ability to think strategically and conceptually across projects to achieve lasting bottom-line results + Strong facilitation and presentation skills + Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products + Adaptable and able to pivot strategies when project priorities shift + Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities + Preferred experience with Organizational Design, Realignment, and Transformation at a company-wide scale **What you'll get** Feel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer: + Travel Perks: Ready to explore the world?
