Amazon Grocery Logistics (AGL) is looking for Services Procurement Program Managers with proven procurement and project management experience. The Services Procurement team supports global Amazon Grocery Logistics services programs and all fixed cost categories for Stores, Fulfillment Centers, and Distribution Centers. This role requires the management of new and existing procurement programs, scoping and creating project plans, creating and executing strategy to drive cost reduction, and clear communication to senior management. This will require a willingness to dive into the details, collaborate cross-functionally, solve new problems as they arise, and look around corners.
Key job responsibilities
• Manage new and existing procurement programs, successfully delivering results across multiple Amazon organizations. Examples of programs we support include Janitorial services, Pest Control, Powered Equipment, Waste/Recycling Streams, Security, PPE Supplies, as well as many other services categories.
• Own program communication, accelerating progress by driving crisp and timely decisions, clearing blockers, escalating as appropriate.
• Develop, implement, and govern KPI reporting for a portfolio of programs, providing visibility to the milestones, and performance across all projects and using this data to drive/influence business decisions.
• Work directly with partner teams, external providers and customers to understand and identify financial opportunities to hit cost goals, highlight risks, and craft solutions within assigned categories.
• Drive supplier relationship development by holding regular business reviews to assess performance and areas of opportunity to maintain high quality service levels.
• Own and execute large-scale process improvement opportunities within new business launches and existing processes and controls, including defining scope, goals and deliverables in collaboration with senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Utilize standard analytical tools to analyze business metrics for optimization and derive actionable recommendations to meet business and procurement objectives.
• Manage or coordinate tactical procurement services and daily operations including Purchase Orders and Invoice management.
• Recognize and resolve service issues and provide hands-on support to ensure procurement programs operate successfully across all locations.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
- Master's degree
- Advanced data analysis skills; the ability to extract and synthesize data in order to make data-backed business decisions.
- High attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to propose complex solutions and explanations in writing.
- Financial acumen with experience creating strategy to meet/exceed financial targets.
- 5+ years of relevant procurement and/or program management experience.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
