KBR's Mission Technology Solutions Business Unit is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Program Manager/Senior Technical Advisor to support tasking at the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Program Executive Office, Unmanned Aviation and Strike Weapons (PEO(U&W)), located in Patuxent River, Maryland.
Role and Responsibilities:
+ The selected candidate will lead and supervise a diverse group of KBR engineers, analysts, logisticians, technicians, test and evaluation, training and administrative personnel who support several of the Navy and Marine Corps unmanned aviation program offices (PMAs).
+ Tasking will include all facets of technical program management, including oversight of administrative, contractual, financial and technical responsibilities, as well as compliance with internal quality control measures.
+ Specific program management tasks for KBR and subcontractor personnel include technical interface with key government customers, developing and delivering required CDRL’s, financial, technical and personnel management.
+ Key focus areas include overseeing a technical team executing projects involving engineering, testing, training, prototyping, production, enhancement and sustainment issues on currently fielded and future versions of MQ-9, MQ-4, MQ-25 and other unmanned air systems and autonomous functions, including air vehicles, command, control and communication networks, sensors, ground stations, and where appropriate, shipboard integration.
+ Interfaces regularly with a variety of government technical and senior program personnel to ensure the successful execution of program objectives.
+ Additional duties will include serving as Senior Technical Advisor to Test and Evaluation Squadron leadership for tactical aircraft programs.
+ Most work will be conducted on-site at KBR’s Lexington Park, MD facility or alternative government site aboard NAS Patuxent River, MD.
+ Occasional domestic travel (typically 10% maximum) may be required in support of customer objectives.
Basic Qualifications:
Education:
+ Bachelor's Degree ( Engineering/Technical degree preferred)
+ Graduation from a U.S. military Test Pilot School full length course
Experience:
+ Minimum of twelve (12) years of progressively complex experience in Department of Defense aviation/aerospace acquisition programs, including but not limited to systems engineering, product development, test and evaluation, sustainment and program management.
+ Minimum of five (5) years of program management and supervisory experience at Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR).
+ Minimum of five (5) years of experience in airborne test and evaluation of tactical military aircraft and/or installed systems
+ Applicant must have specific experience in managing different phases of weapon systems acquisition within the DOD 5000 series acquisition policies and procedures.
+ Experience with development, modernization and sustainment of military aviation systems, either manned or unmanned, including but not limited to air vehicles, sensors, weapons, and command, control and communication networks.
+ Ability to operate independently to effectively satisfy job requirements without direct supervision.
+ Effective communications, both oral and written, and to operate in a dynamic and fast-paced team environment.
Security Clearance:
+ Must have an active Top Secret security clearance (SCI eligible).
+ Applicant selected will be subject to recurring government security investigations and must maintain eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Master’s Degree (Engineering/Technical/MBA).
+ Experience with manned or unmanned operational/shipboard aviation systems and platforms.
+ Experience with unmanned aviation systems, particularly the MQ-9A, MQ-4C and/or MQ-25.
+ Knowledge of NAVAIR correspondence practices, the ability to write programmatic, engineering, test or similar defense acquisition reports and construct briefing materials using MS Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and similar productivity products.
Scheduled Weekly Hours:
40 hours/week
Compensation:
$149,930 - $224,840
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
