Program Manager, Strategic Business Planning (IC4)
Job Description

We are looking for a Program Manager to join the Strategic Business Planning team. The Strategic Business Planning team partners with the larger Strategy & Business Development team, WFM leadership, and other groups across the company to support long-term growth strategic priorities and deliver financial value in alignment with WFM Core Values and Leadership Principles. The team is responsible for supporting WFM through execution of the annual planning process, ongoing business reporting, and the execution of WFM's strategic priorities.

Reporting to the head of Strategic Business Planning, the Program Manager will be responsible for supporting a small team that works cross-functionally with stakeholders throughout Whole Foods Market and Amazon to (1) collect and analyze data for key growth initiatives, (2) support key mechanisms in our business operational cadence (annual planning, business reviews, etc.), (3) help maintain programs and frameworks to measure our progress toward goals and initiatives, and (4) contribute to the development of recommendations for future growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated project management capabilities.

This position is based in Austin, TX, with an expectation of being in the Austin Store Support office five days a week. 

Responsibilities:

Execute components of the annual planning and business reporting processes; maintain and update documentation related to annual planning.Support the process for company goal setting and compile status updates for executive leadership review.Manage project management programs and best practices for the annual planning process, and executive leadership reviews to ensure effective investment decisions across the organization.Assist in business operational review meetings by gathering data and helping prepare narrative documents for internal WFM and Amazon audiences.Support the Strategic Business Planning teams by collecting data and insights, maintaining tracking mechanisms, and contributing to analysis that informs enterprise strategy execution.Conduct analysis of business issues using established frameworks; gather relevant consumer, competitive, and macroeconomic data to support decision-making.Create clear project deliverables and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment.Build effective working relationships with partners across the organization; able to partner effectively with senior/executive leadership

Qualifications:

2-4+ years of program management, project management, business planning, or strategic/financial analysis experience.Analytical mindset with demonstrated critical thinking skills.Good oral, written, and presentation skills, with ability to communicate ideas clearly.Proven project management and organizational skills, with experience working with cross-functional stakeholders.Strong executive presence; comfort presenting to working with senior leadershipStrong quantitative skills and ability to analyze data to support business decisions.Ability to work effectively with various business teams and stakeholders.Understanding of how team/program goals connect to larger organizational objectives.Basic understanding of company and business unit strategy and goals.Knowledge of grocery, retail, or e-commerce preferred.Basic financial acumen and understanding of business metrics.Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and/or Smartsheet management for a large group of stakeholders/users is a plus.Aligned to Whole Foods Market's Higher Purpose/Mission, Core Values and Leadership Principles.
