Program Manager, Stroke Coord

The pay range for this position is $38.00-57.98

Position Summary

Serves as coordinating partner for the Primary Stroke Center for the Robert Packer Hospital to assure compliance with accrediting body for stroke program.

Experience

Must have a PA registered nurse license with five years clinical experience. Individual must have proficiency with internet, e-mail, data bases, and competency with nursing assessments. Clinical experience in neurology or neurosurgery preferred.

Essential Functions

Serves as program manager for the Primary Stroke Center for the Robert Packer Hospital. This role routinely reviews and updates policies and procedures, collaborates with RPH regulatory department for the advancement of the stroke program, interfaces with the hospital, Guthrie Medical Group, and community to meet certification requirements.

 Support the program medical director and stroke committee with establishing goals, lead teams with action planning, track improvement measures and report findings.

Provides direct care and interactions with patients, families, and the care team to lead RPH stroke care.

Serves as an educator to patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure clinical outcomes are achieved.

Operates as a leader for the stroke program performance improvement initiative.

Coordinates efforts between providers, hospital administration, and staff while tracking progress of the Stroke Program and identifying areas requiring attention.

Other Duties

Attend training seminars and conferences as required by stroke program.

Make presentations of stroke program information inclusive of monthly data measures, new policies, and regulatory changes. These presentations include the Stroke Committee, Nursing leadership, RPH Administration and individual hospital units.

Advise department manager on resource utilization and training needs. Perform other duties as assigned by the director or manager or Vice President.
