Amazon has exciting opportunities for leaders in Operations Management within our rapidly expanding Sub Same Day (SSD) network in Japan. Our dynamic environment offers candidates significant challenges in data analysis, forecasting, and strategic planning across our fulfillment centers, supply chain, and last-mile delivery teams.
【Role Summary】
This role presents a unique opportunity to drive Amazon's ambitious goals for our SSD operations in Japan through advanced analytics and strategic planning. The successful candidate will lead programs, develop analytical frameworks, and create data-driven strategies to optimize our Sub Same Day delivery capabilities, ensuring best-in-class speed, efficiency, and customer experience. You will drive robust data analysis and planning processes both within our fulfillment centers (UTR - Under the Roof) and across our delivery network (OTR - On the Road) to create positive impact on Amazon's SSD offerings in Japan.
You will partner closely with multiple functional teams and stakeholder groups, including Supply Chain, Field execution, Tech teams, Transportation Network Planning, Middle Mile teams, Retail Delivery Experience, and Customer Service. The ability to influence without authority and execute with speed will be critical to success in this role.
The ideal candidate should possess:
• A successful track record of managing complex analytical projects and strategic planning in logistics or related fields
• Strong analytical and business acumen with expertise in data modeling and forecasting
• Experience in managing multiple stakeholder teams simultaneously
• Impactful communication skills, particularly in translating complex data into actionable insights
• A demonstrated commitment to Amazon's Leadership Principles, particularly Ownership, Bias for Action, Insist on Highest Standards, Customer Obsession, and Think Big

Key job responsibilities
• Develop and execute SSD analytics and planning strategies, set priorities, and communicate effectively across business partners and stakeholders
• Design and implement advanced analytical models and forecasting tools to optimize SSD network performance and guide strategic decision-making
• Translate customer needs, operational data, and market trends into actionable insights, mapping our analytics and planning initiatives to measurable business value
• Work with operations, supply chain, finance, tech, and delivery experience teams to prioritize and implement data-driven interventions that enhance operational efficiency
• Conduct in-depth analysis of SSD delivery quality, productivity, and cost data, identifying trends, opportunities for improvement, and potential risks
• Collaborate with Retail and Supply Chain organizations to develop integrated forecasting models that align supply with demand in the SSD network
• Partner with teams across various regions and geographies to understand, adapt, and implement best practices for SSD analytics and planning in Japan
• Design and conduct pilot analytics projects to test innovative approaches, gather learnings, and implement the most effective, scalable solutions for SSD operational planning
• Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities and efficiency gains through advanced analytics, working across stakeholder functions to execute data-driven initiatives at scale
• Collaborate with business analytics and customer delivery experience teams to develop and standardize KPIs, reports, and dashboards that drive operational excellence
• Establish and maintain strong mechanisms to manage quantitative and qualitative performance metrics, ensuring continuous improvement in SSD operations through data-driven insights
