Program  Manager, U.S. Customs and Border Protection:

 

UIC Government Services is looking for a Program Manager for the Systems & Information Technology (SIT) Business Group under the Bowhead family of companies. The Program Manager will be responsible for the development, implementation, and execution of group strategy, operations, and growth initiatives within the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Group. The successful candidate must have a proven record of successfully building effective teams and directing diverse and technically challenging business operations, preferably in the CBP, Department of Defense, Intelligence, and Federal markets.

Responsibilities Managing the CBP Group’s business development, profitable growth, and successful project execution.Identifying and overseeing the implementation of innovative business development strategies by leveraging the company’s product and service offerings.Crafting solutions to meet customer needs while positioning company for future prospects.Employment, training, motivation and discipline of assigned employees, and the resolution of any issues escalated through the CBP program managers and Customers.Developing core areas of capabilities/operations within existing work as well as emerging programs within the market space.Representing the company in meetings with leadership in the customer community and industry partners to discuss future opportunities for work.Determining new Business courses of action and creating programs to support actions.Delivering exceptional customer service.Reviewing operational performance and completing the performance appraisal process for all direct reports on specific performance against pre-determined revenue, profit and customer satisfaction expectations, including Contractor Performance Assessment Reports (CPARs) and employee career development goals.Analyzing monthly and fiscal year-to-date budget versus actual revenue and profit performance by contract. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree. MBA or Advanced degree in technical disciplines is a plus.Minimum 10 years of experience in technology and business management, including 5 years of Senior Executive/Management positions with profit & loss responsibility.Minimum 10 years of experience in Department of Defense, Federal Agencies, and/or Intelligence Community government contracting.Current knowledge of the programs supported at U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and Department of Homeland Security.Knowledge of business and management principles specific to strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership and leadership development, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service to include customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction through routine personal interaction with customers, subcontractors, and program managers.Proven team building and motivational skills.Strong technical knowledge with expertise in Government contract performance and the applicable laws and regulations.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Public Trust (NAC) level. US Citizenship is a requirement for a Public Trust (NAC) clearance at this location.
