Would you like to shape Amazon Fulfillment Technologies and Robotics’ (FTR) university and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) engagements? Do you like strategic planning and have experience in measuring impact and outcomes for external engagements?
Amazon FTR is seeking an experienced Program Manager II to join our university partnerships and outreach team. In this role, you will build and manage relationships, and own the planning, execution, and delivery of a subset of our programs primarily focused external engagements such as conferences, student workshops, and related initiatives. You will plan events and create content to engage Amazon’s internal science community. The projects you lead and support will establish university talent pipelines, promote Amazon’s world-class FTR brand, and help to keep Amazon scientists connected to academic research in robotics. You will focus on driving right outcomes for our partners while measuring the effectiveness of our engagements. At the same time, you will be responsible for all the day-to-day tasks of the programs you own. This role requires excellent program/project management skills and strong verbal and written communication skills. We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly organized self-starter with a bias for action and the ability to engage cross-functional stakeholders. Program management experience in a university setting – especially around recruiting, STEM outreach, research administration, or corporate giving, plus experience transforming technical information into engaging content is highly desired. Outstanding business acumen and judgment, and bias toward data-driven decision making are also desired. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. Above all, the successful candidate will have a passion for contributing to both team and customer successes.
