Job Description
The Program Manager (PM) is responsible for understanding business strategy and priorities and translating business needs and trends to create solutions. The incumbent will own all project outcomes, set bold goals, and drive high quality results, will communicating effectively and with influence, across all levels of the organization.
Duties
Coordinates and manage the daily activities of a cross-functional team for successful execution of assigned projectsDevelop and manage project governance including steering committee meetings, sponsor meetings, project team meetings, status reports, etcEstimates Project cost and develop, maintain and publish a Project budgetEstablishes baseline time, cost and performance objectives to meet overall program scopeCreates and controls program documentation such as program plansEnsures program and product requirements are established and controlled consistent with AV's processes. Assesses program risk and opportunities and establishes risk management plansMakes sound/data-driven decisions to ensure program cost, schedule and performance targets are metPlans and develop the scope of an individual project or individual projectsDevelops and maintains a Project-level implementation schedule and provide a Project-level communications planDefines, contracts, and manage external support, as required, managing changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniquesMeasures project performance using appropriate tools and techniquesWorks on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factorsOther duties as assignedExperience
10+ years HCM/ERP/IT project management experience with a strong focus on HCM and Financials implementations, as well as other types of IT projects such as infrastructure, cloud, security, etc…9+ years’ experience as a hands-on Project Manager on implementation projects7+ years’ experience in Waterfall and Agile methodologiesExperience in using multiple types of PM tools (MS suite, as well as Atlassian suite)At least two full lifecycle ERP Implementation project as a Project ManagerExperience managing fixed-scope, fixed-price, full lifecycle implementation projects for Public Sector agenciesStrong ability in meeting deadlines, and budget while maintaining successful team executionStrong verbal, presentation and written communication skills with c-level client staff, technical staff and application usersProven business knowledge as well as PeopleSoft application specific functional knowledgeUniversity degree in business, computer science or equivalentActive PMP CertificationExperienced in developing risk management and mitigation plansExperienced managing projects supporting DoD, DARPA, and other Government agencies desiredExperience taking projects from development into production is preferredEducation

$118,107 - $167,475AeroVironment considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the location, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
ITAR Requirement:
This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”). In order to comply with the requirements of the ITAR and/or the EAR, applicants must qualify as a U.S. person under the ITAR and the EAR, or a person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
