Mission of the Role: accountable for customer and management for the project

Key Objectives of this Role:
l Accountable and responsible to lead project activities to achieve goals and objectives as established during the initiation phase of the project and subsequent changes throughout.
l Main point of contact for the customer and has the decision authority for the project.
l Creating and executing project work plans (Configuration Management Plan) and revisions as appropriate to meet project phase deadlines and changing requirements.
l Managing resources in conjunction with horizontal managers, manufacturing, and others.
l Helping resolve (through experience) day-to-day operational aspects of project scope.
l Effectively managing project risk through mitigation planning by raisin RIO's within enterProj
(Program Management tool) and ensuring timely closure of RIO's.
l Supporting Project team in their monitoring and reports of timing, income, expense, and resource management.
l Ensuring less experience team members are utilizing Project Management and VPDS methodology.
l Preparing for Senior Project Leader and Project Board project reviews and quality assurance procedures.
l Ensuring all project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately in enterProj.
l Monitor project status (including supplier status) and review CM activities with appropriate stakeholder.
l Chair the Change Control Board (CCB) and manage key activities related to changes and problems at a project level.

l Finance for the program
l Plant process readiness
l Issue management status

Key Year One Deliverables:
l Internal milestone report
l Launch readiness review
l Weekly report

Qualification, Experience and Skills:
Required
l Project Management or product development experience in automotive industry (more than 3
years)
l Team Leadership/Management, setting cross functional targets, aligning with team stakeholders.
and driving the team delivery.
l Good skills in Communication (Written and Oral), Leadership, Meeting facilitation, Presentation,
Negotiation, Problem solving, Conflict management.
l Business level of Japanese and English
Preferred
l Experience working in either JOEMs or tier 1s to JOEMs
l Experience of electronic parts / system development including software
