Program Manager

Senior Program Manager: 

 

Acts as the overall program manager and administrator for the contracted IMITS effort.  

Serves as the primary interface and point of contact with Government program authorities on technical and program/project issues.  

Oversees contractor execution of all requirements.  

 

Manages acquisition and employment of program/project resources.  

Must possess over 10 years of experience as a senior project/program leader and hold an MA/MS degree. (Master’s Degree equivalence is 4 years’ experience plus a Bachelor’s Degree). 


Clearance required.


5 years Navy program management experience required, NAVAIR preferred, NAWCWD ideal.

5 of the 10 years should be in progressive broad-based information systems such as (Software Engineering, End User Support, Data Center & Network Operations, Disaster Recovery / Continuity of Operations.

 

Qualifications: 

 

Specialized experience includes duties related to the following: 

1) Ability to establish business and workload management plans, including projections relating to present and future workload; 

2) Ability to plan, maintain, and execute IMITS requirements and tasks in support of program IPT priorities and objectives; 

3) Provides advice and guidance to team participants on resource plans, schedules, methods, policies and objectives; 

4) Develop, prepare, and monitor detailed schedules and link resources to milestones, deliverables and events in support of programmatic deliverables.

5) Ability to lead people in the development and sustainment of information technology and information management systems integration, maintenance, operations and sustainment. 

6) Ability to develop and execute complex financial and resource management plans in support of programmatic requirements.

7) Develop, maintain, and utilize budgets and schedules to prepare documents. 

8) Work within the program life cycle to develop and test new technologies and processes to improve effectiveness and efficiency of the IT staff. 

9) Leading people and change for overall technical direction of the program, with experience recruiting, hiring, managing, supervising, training, scheduling, c coordinating and evaluating staff as assigned.

10) Utilizing financial management and resource management for program development and oversight of NAVAIR IT related programs; 

12) Provide overall direction, coordination of priorities and resources, controls, and management of major technical program requirements, ensuring on time and within budget delivery.

13) Ability to provide recommendations for new approaches to sustain business success

14) Directing daily staff and task activities to meet client and corporate work objectives and supervising assigned technical and administrative staff, including subordinate managers. Experience assuring quality of task products, services, and deliverables, including participating in reviews, audits, and site visits.

15) Serving as a liaison with clients to coordinate activities, negotiate tasks, triage challenges, and solve problems.

16) Coordinating and monitoring subcontractor activities.
