The successful candidate will have exceptional Business Analyst skills and have managed Projects within the last four years. 

 

DPS is seeking a PM to manage the implementation of several complex functional enhancements as defined by the State of Ohio Legislature.  The PM will serve as BOTH as   the project manager and business analyst, and will be required to gather and document functional requirements, lead the business units in the development of updated process flows, work with the Information Technology Office to implement the changes, and create any necessary supporting documentation.  In addition, the PM3 will lead an effort to retire outdated hardware and will be assigned a project with the Human Resources to create a position tracking system.

 

In all cases, the individual will serve as both the project manager and business analyst.  As such, the candidate must have prior experience in both project management and business analysis to be considered.

Maintain project plan, issues log, action item log, meeting agenda, meeting minutes and other artifacts as required to do job.

 

collaborate with development team to create design specification in business requirements. (Capture additional requirements based on design, capture global rules for system consistency).

 

Experience in coordinating and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

 

Assist with end-user training and create any training artifacts if needed.

 

                PMP certification is desired, but not required.

 

1.            Four (4) years’ verifiable and demonstrable experience as an IT project manager and the ability to demonstrate the knowledge, skills, tools and techniques (as defined by the Project Management Institute and PMBOK) to execute assigned projects

 

2.            Four (4) years verifiable and demonstrable experience identifying project scope, objectives, constraints, assumptions and risks

 

3.            Two (2) years verifiable and demonstrable experience identifying and document risk mitigations strategies and executing those strategies if/when necessary

 

4.            Six (6) years’ verifiable and demonstrable experience working directly with end-users to define requirements and provide technical advice and assistance in a large-scale environment.

 

5.            Three (3) years’ verifiable and demonstrable experience interviewing non-technical end users to determine and document current business process flows.

 

6.            Two (2) years’ verifiable and demonstrable experience in Business Process Re-engineering.

 

7.            Needs to be able to transfer knowledge to staff.

 

8.            Ability to multi- task and meet aggressive deadlines.

 

9.            Pay detail attention to requirement changes.

 

10.          Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative agile environment.

 

 

The Program Manager directs, controls, administers, and regulates an enhancement or development program.  The Program Manager is the individual ultimately responsible to the agency. The Program Manager’s primary responsibility is to drive the entire effort from start to finish. The Program Manager must ensure that the program is completed on schedule and that the final product meets the business, technical, and established quality requirements. The difference between a PM1, PM2, PM3, and PM4 will depend on the size of the project, and the breadth and scope of the project.
