Program Manager directs, controls, administers, and regulates an enhancement or development program. PM is the individual ultimately responsible to the agency. The PM’s primary responsibility is to drive the entire effort from start to finish.
Complete Description:
**This is a Part Time position, working approximately 30 hours/week.**
Position Description: The PA State Police (PSP) requires the services of a project manager staff augmentation consultant to serve as the manager of Mobile Office / Broadband project. Currently, the computers in PSP patrol vehicles have very limited bandwidth via the Statewide Radio Network. As such, they have access to very limited information resources. The objective of this project is to conduct a pilot whereas the patrol cars would utilize two other connection methods. The first is broadband through a wireless provider; the other through the currently available wireless at each PSP station. The pilot would also include testing Windows 7 upgrade, dual factor authentication, and testing various applications. Once the pilot and testing is successful, the solution would be rolled out to all PSP patrol vehicles. The Project Manager would be responsible for all project related activities for this project.
Specific Duties:
1. Work with PSP IT management to develop, implement and refine project charter to outline what is in scope and out of scope for this project.
2. Coordinate and lead all meetings with respect to this project.
3. Manage all aspects of project management of the project, including creating the project plan/scope, scheduling roll outs/installs and final sign off.

4. Required: 3+ years IT experience with mobile technology, client services, networking, etc…
5. Highly Desired: Mobile Device/PC Roll Out Project Management experience
