Description:

As a program manager, you will leverage your broad program management experience and skills to accelerate business outcomes by successfully driving a portfolio of vital programs.

As a program manager, you will collaborate with product leaders, engineering leadership, and internal stakeholders for inputs for product strategy and roadmap; get buy-in and commitments and manage expectations. You will Initiate, Plan, Manage and Control the execution of Product development journey to deliver the Program goals and Outcome. You will have the stage and opportunity to demonstrate varied skills as Servant-leader, Coach, Commander and Enabler through the Program development lifecycle.

You play a vital role as a change agent in developing an environment for new ideas, to lead by example, and improve team effectiveness and efficiency. You must have strong program management, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, as well as a deep understanding of Agile development methodology, planning, execution, and change management processes and procedures. A positive attitude towards continuous learning.

Requirements:

Primary Responsibilities:

Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of strategic programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment with company objectives and stakeholder expectations. Cultivate a mindset of rigorous planning & prioritizing. Identify and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies that may impact program/release or scope, timelines and quality. Conduct regular cadence with various program teams to review progress, discuss challenges, and provide guidance and support. Drive dependencies with teams across multiple business units at various level. Maintain clear team backlogs, governance dashboards. Generate, evaluate and improve the agility metrics (performance, predictability, and persistency) by optimizing and governing the processes for planning, prioritization, delivery, release management, workforce planning and stakeholder reporting. Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations on program strategy, execution, and risk management. Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, facilitating collaboration, risk management and alignment on program goals and priorities. Interact comfortably in one-on-one meetings with individual technical contributors, senior engineering leaders (technology and business), and executive leadership. Manage cross-functional communications to maximize understanding, impact, and speed of change adoption. Create self-organizing teams that are flexible, efficient, adapt/manage changes/changing priorities based on business needs, and are fully productive during sprints.

Minimum Qualifications

BE/B-Tech and MBA 12+ years of overall experience with at least 3+ years as a Program Manager in Product organization having an Agile delivery & execution environment. Must have exceptional leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and a proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced product development environment. Must have either of the certification in: PgMP, SAFe, CSM/PSM or PMP. Should have excellent hands-on knowledge of PMI Program Management principles, Agile ways of working (WoW), Should have excellent working understanding of Scrum framework, with all its artifacts, ceremonies, and techniques. Proficient in one or more Agile project management tools - Azure DevOps preferable. Effective communication and interpersonal skills - written and verbal to senior leadership. Awareness and experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing.  Must have knowledge of Cloud, SaaS products, Microservices and distributed DevOps systems, Engineering best practices and frameworks in software/product development.

Self-starter and have analytical, problem-solving skills to drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance program management processes, methodologies, and tools. Able to nurture robust working relationships with the team, peers, and customers, scheduling flexibility required. Experience in managing product development and innovation engagements, supporting high visibility support, bug fixing, tech debt reduction strategies. Excellent technical and business reporting skills. Develop a rigor for understanding and leveraging the quality, flow, and value-based metrics to accelerate benefit realization.
