Program Manager

Overview:


The Program Manager is responsible for the overall management of one or more large scale and/or long term contracts that may involve multiple geographical areas and the supervision of all personnel necessary to successfully execute the contract(s).

Primary Responsibilities: Directs and coordinates the activities of the program team which may include: estimators, project managers, superintendents, QC/Safety, business administration, and any other support necessary in order to meet Olgoonik’s objectives related to the contract.  Responsible to the client for Olgoonik personnel and for the successful execution and delivery of all project objectives.  Updates project management information systems and prepares reports. Manages the gathering and analysis of information about the projects undertaken. Reviews, develops, and implements operating procedures specific to the program for maximum efficiency. Assesses risks associated with a program or project, such as financial risks and/or schedule risk, and implement strategies to reduce these risks.  Determines project or program costs, develop a budget plan and monitor ongoing costs. Monitors the quality and safety performance of a program or project.  Communicates program updates, deadlines and assignments with internal team members.  Communicates program progress and promotes development activities approved by Olgoonik Corporation to external stakeholders.  Performs other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities:


Responsible for supervision of staff necessary for execution of the contract(s).

Education and/or Experience:  Bachelor’s Degree in construction management preferred but not required. 10 years of applicable project management experience with progressive responsibility in project management on projects ranging up to $25M. Experience in task order contracting is a plus.  Interpersonal skills sufficient to positively influence staff and client are required. Must have experience in establishing policies and procedures to implement effective business resource utilization. Must have experience with estimating, financial reporting, cost-control, and scheduling. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


•    Must possess general knowledge of accounting principles, personnel management and office administration.
•    Must be proficient with Microsoft Suite of products including, Word, Excel, Project and E-mail business software.
•    Must demonstrate a good attitude and ability to work as a member of a Team.
•    Position requires self-motivation and the ability to work effectively under a minimum of supervision.
•    Must be able to multi-task efficiently, work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects, and have a strong attention for detail.
