Summary About the Position: This position serves as a Program Manager in Army Futures Command (AFC), Office of the Commander located in Austin, TX. Responsibilities Primarily responsible for coordination and delivery of critical AFC programs/activities to the Headquarters Department of Army staff, TRADOC, AMC, ASA(ALT), and internal subcommands. Advises the CG and other AFC senior leaders and appropriate staff/command elements on resourcing and divesture of new and retiring requirements, and impacts to the soldier. Synthesizes data from diverse sources, analyzes trends, and evaluates policies, plans, operations, legislation and other program directives to formulate AFC’s plan of action. Represents the CG and AFC at conferences and meetings on matters pertaining to assigned mission and programs. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Coordinating a diverse team of SMEs to develop and analyze requirement documents; 2) Conducting studies to review and analyze requirements to invest or divest resources; 3) Using analysis to provide recommendations and inform requirements to Senior Leaders; AND 4) Brief analysis products across requirements enterprise. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (DE-3/GS-13). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
