PM is the individual ultimately responsible to the agency. The PM’s primary responsibility is to drive the entire effort from start to finish.
The Bureau of Application Development and Support (BADS) owns a large number of applications that underlie business functions within the Office of Administration as well as those of several external state agencies. BADS also provides a number of disparate platforms for external agency software applications and content. Several of these platforms are no longer supported and migration of their contents to supportable platforms is now underway. The migration activities are being carried out by several different teams within distinct technical "silos." Although several of these projects are under the capable auspices of internal project managers, status reporting and cross-team communication is difficult. The migration projects portfolio manager will provide the communications "glue" between these teams when necessary and provide meaningful tracking information to executive leadership.
A list of the in-scope projects is provided in the appendix below.Specific Duties and Responsibilities
1. Establish general project plans and schedules where none exist.2. Track team progress against schedules.3. Communicate with designated agency personnel to ascertain progress against planned agency activities and tasks.4. Provide formal reports to executive leadership that will convey the status of all in-scope migration activities across the portfolio.
