+ Direct experience as a project manager or agile facilitator highly valued.

Position Description:Harvard University Information Technology (HUIT) is a community of Information Technology professionals committed to delivering service and technological solutions in support of teaching, learning, research and administration. Reporting to the Director of Academic Technology Services and Operations the Program Manager will be responsible for facilitating a variety of initiatives across Harvard’s academic technology services. In collaboration with the Academic Technology staff, business partners, and others across HUIT, the Program Manager will manage projects, develop new services and sunset services as needed, streamline and standardize business processes, and develop organizational capabilities. In addition the Program Manager will help craft and communicate messages about activities in Academic Technology.
Duties of this position:
+ Provide ongoing support and leadership to high-priority initiatives of the Academic Technology group, including project management, communications, status reporting, documentation, and execution.
+ Collaborate with HUIT stakeholder and Academic Technology staff on shared projects such as quick rollout of new tools, reacting to technology changes, and maintaining current services.
+ Actively organize statistics and other data across services.
+ Prepare materials (slide decks, documents, etc.) to tell the story of activities and initiatives across the department to be shared with partners and stakeholders.
+ Collaborate to review project plans and proposals and develop project objectives; identify project responsibilities by determining the phases and elements of the project; calculate time frames and sequence the stages of the project
+ Develop and manage project roadmaps
+ Execute, coordinate, and perform technical aspects of project; research issues
+ Ensure the preparation and delivery of required project documentation
+ Prepare and provide project status updates
+ Contribute to communication plan and change management
+ Absorb and leverage project related technology to ensure effective project management and collaboration
+ Apply Harvard University’s IT technical standards and best practices • Abide by and follow the Harvard University IT Code of Conduct

Examples include bi-annual or quarterly Town Halls, critical business meetings or other work events. Additional details will be discussed during the interview process.
