Program Manager
**Job Description** This role encompasses three key areas of responsibility: owner-supplied CAPEX management, sustainability initiatives, and regulatory compliance. In the first area, the individual will manage the owner's supplied CAPEX for new developments, which includes Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E), Operating Supplies & Equipment (OS&E), theming, and landscaping. This includes budgeting, tracking the approval process, placing orders, and overseeing delivery, while also monitoring associated soft costs such as legal, architectural, engineering, and contractor expenses. The second area focuses on sustainability, where the individual will lead renewable energy projects, including solar farm initiatives for Celebration Key and Half Moon Cay, support recycling plans for new destinations, and consolidate Destination Development initiatives in coordination with the Corporate Sustainability team. Lastly, in the area of regulatory compliance, the role involves providing support on matters related to Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and Environmental Management Plans (EMP), securing municipality and central government approvals and licenses, and obtaining building permits and HOA approvals. **Essential Functions:** + OWNER SUPPLIED CAPEX + Manage owner-supplied CAPEX for new developments, including furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E), operating supplies and equipment (OS&E), theming, and landscaping. This includes tracking the budgeting process, overseeing the approval process, facilitating the ordering of CAPEX items, and managing all related logistics until delivery is completed. + Track soft costs associated with the project, including legal fees, architect and engineering services, and contractor expenses, to ensure comprehensive budget oversight. + Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure all costs are accurately captured and reported, facilitating transparent financial management throughout the development process + SUSTAINABILITY: + Lead renewable energy plans for projects such as solar farms at Celebration Key and Half Moon Cay, focusing on sustainable energy solutions to reduce carbon footprints. + Support recycling plans for new destinations to promote waste reduction and enhance environmental sustainability efforts. + Consolidate Destination Development initiatives and coordinate with the Corporate Sustainability team to align goals and share best practices across projects. + REGULATORY: + Assist with Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) to evaluate the potential effects of projects on the environment and ensure compliance with regulations. + Develop and implement Environmental Management Plans (EMP) to outline strategies for mitigating environmental impacts throughout project execution. + Facilitate approvals and licenses from municipal and central government authorities to ensure all regulatory requirements are met. + Coordinate the acquisition of building permits to ensure that all construction activities comply with local regulations and standards. + Engage with Homeowners Associations (HOAs) as necessary to address community concerns and secure necessary approvals for developments. **Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Engineering + 5 to 8 years of experience working in similar roles + Budget Management, Financial Analysis & Modeling, Strategic Thinking, Problem-Solving, Fluent in Excel modeling, Ability to multi task and to meet deadlines + Ability to work and deal with uncertainty, strong verbal/written communication, strong collaboration and relationship building skills + Master’s degree preferred + Strong project planning and monitoring skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously preferred. Proficiency in using financial analysis and software to track budgets, forecast cash flows, and manage financial resources effectively preferred. **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:** + Possess strong knowledge of MS Office, including Excel, Powerpoint and Word + Prioritize and manage multiple workstreams simultaneously and follow through on issues in a timely manner + Possess knowledge of office related-management principles procedures and techniques + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly in order to meet deadlines + Ability to schedule meetings, document and manage them through completion + Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with supervisors and staff + Ability to supervise and/or maintain essential records and files. + Must be highly organized and detailed oriented Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time. Travel: 25-50% with non-shipboard travel likely Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery. This position is classified as "in-office." As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida from Tuesday through Thursday. Employees may work from home on Mondays and Fridays. Some positions may require additional in-office time each week and final schedule is determined by your leader. Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft.
